Schedules are good
I think I’ve figured out that Reagan likes her schedule. She seems to be taking to the new napping habit I’m starting for her. Every time we go upstairs and sit down in the rocker, she just seems to “curl up” and get comfy. Most of the time her free hand is moving up and down trying to grab my face. She eventually ends up holding on to my nose. I’m lucky so far that she hasn’t actually stuck her finger in my nose. :) It really doesn’t take long before she falls asleep. Most of the time, I just put her right into her crib. Once a day I just sit with her for a while. It’s very calming and soothing for me too.

Napping is good
Another good day! I love this napping thing. I actually get to breathe again. :) Thanks for the advice “moms”. Not only does she sleep, but I also really enjoy rocking her and just holding her. It’s another way I get to feel close to her. Eventually I will stop breastfeeding her so this will enable us to have the close moments.
Today’s pace was very different for us. Jim stayed home for various reasons – one of which was my first job search outing. After that, we went over to Lynn’s home to visit and determined that when I return to work, we would use her to take care of Reagan.

Nap time
This morning Reagan was a lot of fun. She must have felt a little better this morning. She was so very playful. I put her in the bouncy seat just outside the bathroom door this morning so I could take care of my “business” and she was playing pretty hard. Not only has she figured out how to pull herself up in the seat by using the parrot and rings, but she can now also bounce herself in the seat. It’s just amazing. I can’t believe how strong she’s gotten.
I’m also taking the advice from my mom and Lynn that I should “help” her sleep to get her into the napping habit. So I started today by taking Reagan upstairs each time and soothing her to sleep. It worked this morning like a charm, but her mid-day nap didn’t work so well. I ended up rocking her for almost two hours. But ya know, she slept. Thank goodness. She took four naps today total which I am completely amazed at. I hope she does as well tomorrow. We’ll see

Happy Birthday to me
Well today is my birthday. Happy 38th to me. LOL
I guess my good day couldn’t be all good. I was cutting Reagan’s fingernails and cut her thumb! AHHHHH!!!! She didn’t flinch, but I was quietly spazzing out. She bled like a stuck pig. Eeek. I think she’s fine. I’m still, however, secretly worried that her thumb may fall off later today. :)
I got her to laugh again today. She loves doing sit ups and other exercises that cause me strain. Whenever I count, while doing a sit up, she laughs. It’s funny to watch her. Her whole body shakes and she just grins from ear to ear. At least I know how to make her laugh.
I’m hoping that Little Miss isn’t sick. I took her to my parents tonight so I could go to karate and she was pretty fussy. In the time I was gone, about 2 hours, she pooped three times. Ick. I’m hoping that she will be fine overnight. I’ll be sleeping on the couch just in case.

No Sleep
Today was a little rough. Little Ms. Reagan decided last night that she wasn’t tired at 130am. Ick. I went upstairs to settle her back into sleep and realized after about an hour that she was probably hungry. About 3am, she took 6 ounces. WOW! Guess my girl is growing. Unfortunately, that meant that our schedule was totally crazy and I was grumpy. I am so blessed to have a baby that sleeps though the night. I realize that on the mornings after she decides to get up in the middle of the night.

Papa
Papa came to visit today. He hung out with Reagan and Jordan for a little while. It was nice to see him.
Reagan is making changes by the second. She no longer wants to lay down. She wants to be sitting up and watching the world all the time. If I lay her down, I better be playing with her or she fusses some. It’s really funny to put her in her bouncy seat and watch her try to do a sit up. She just can’t stand to be sitting and doing nothing.
