Sick still

This morning, Jim and I both got a little worried about Maddy's cold. She started coughing more often and seemed to be having more trouble. We did call the doctor and they gave us some suggestions on how to help her out. So far, her appetite is okay. They weren't concerned yet. If she had a fever or wasn't eating, they'd want to see her. Good to know. :)

Suzuki lessons!

They started today. Well, at least for me anyway.

Potty by myself

Reagan has started to go potty by herself again. It's nice. I'm starting to be able to trust her when she goes. She has randomly started just disappearing and coming back with her success. I love it. She does still yell for help when she goes #2, but I'm glad for that. :)

It's such a huge change from peeing in her pants every day. Dr. Hsu suggested at her yearly checkup to OVER emphasize the successes and almost ignore the failures. She was most likely looking for attention and kids will frequently take positive and negative to get attention. He was right. It worked. Thanks doc! :)

Wake up everyone

Reagan woke up in the middle of the night to go potty. I'm so proud of her for that. Only problem was that she woke he entire house by crying. Why? Because there was no toilet paper on the roll.

So happy to see mommy

Today when I got home, Maddy was so happy to see me. This was day two for her. I'm sure it doesn't seem any different for her, but it was hard for me. :( She lit up so fast when she saw me that it melted my heart. Awwww mush mush mush.

First day back

Today was my first day back. The folks at work were really happy to see me. It was nice to get such a warm welcome back into the group. They loved seeing the baby pics (and those of Reagan too). :) I love showing off my girls.

The only thing that sucked was coming home. Nothing special. Just another day. Jim worked, Jordan went to her activities, and I took care of the girls and all that includes. Reagan ran to me with open arms (ahhhh) and Maddy couldn't stop smiling.

I want to sit up now

Maddy has been trying to sit up lately. I typically have her leaning on her back a bit on the couch. Lately she keeps trying to get up and sit up. When she does get up, she often falls onto her face. whoops.

Maddy has a cold

Tonight, Maddy's nose is so stopped up. I'm surprised she's sleeping. She is snoring a bit. I ran out a bit to get some pumping supplies and when I got back, she actually had clear drainage coming out of her nose. Hmm. Her first cold. :(

Last day home with Maddy

Today is my last day home with my little one. I am really enjoying my day with her. She's on the play mat right now just grabbing at everything. She even rolled over to the point that he leg was kicked over. Her arms were in the perfect spot to go all the way over, but she stopped. I'm waiting. I'm hoping she rolls all the way today.

Fussy girl

Today was a crazy day. Poor Maddy spent most of her day in the car seat. While sometimes necessary, I hate days like that. We went from driving Reagan to school, to the store, to the mall, to the doctors and then finally home. She was SO happy by the time she got home she couldn't be contained. She lit up! I put her on the play mat and she giggled and gurgled and cooed. So happy. Imagine one of my babies not wanting to be contained.

Rolling over

Today I put Maddy on her play mat and she rolled half way over. She's never gotten that far on her own. Just a little more and she'll have that leg thrown over and be on her belly.

So talkative

Maddy has talked for two days straight. Literally. She wakes up cooing, cooes all day (unless she's crying like today). But when she wasn't crying (because she was in her car seat) she was cooing. Loving the noise! It's good to hear.

Tornado sirens but no tornado

This morning, we got up very early due to the crazy thunderstorm. I got restless probably about 5:00 am, but decided at 5:30 am that I couldn't sleep anymore. The wind was so harsh that it felt like it might blow the house down. Not too long after I decided I couldn't sleep, Jim woke up too.

We walked out into the living room and went to go check on the girls when the alarms went off. Great! So he got Reagan and I got Maddy and we headed to the basement. Tornado right!? NO!!!

Oh my. We turned on the TV and it said "we know your alarms are going off, but there have not been any tornados reported". Ugh. Better safe than sorry I guess, but man am I grumpy today without sleep.

Potty training much better

In the last two weeks since Reagan's appointment, her potty issues have seemed to do much better. The doctor suggested that we OVER celebrate the positives and accomplishments and almost ignore the negatives (unless it's over the top) and see what happens. He really felt that she was craving attention good or bad. I think he was right. We started over celebrating the wins for her potty training and she got right back to where she was. She's not always excited to go when we ask, but she is much more agreeable. Good Job Reagan.

Mirror mirror...

Maddy has hit the stage where she loves to look at herself in the mirror. She just started looking at herself and giggling. Love it.

Maddy waking up

Maddy wakes up so nicely. She just starts cooing. She never gets real loud. She just plays until I get in the room. This morning, I popped my head over the crib rail and she smiled so big. It's an awesome feeling!

This morning, she started cooing about 7:15 am and she hasn't stopped. It's now 8:40 am. ;)
