Now I get it

So now I have figured out why I've felt so run down lately. Besides the fact that I'm burning the candle at both ends (or so it seems), I finally got my blood work back - my thyroid is totally out of wack. So that made me feel much better about being so tired. So I've had an infection, I'm running around crazy (which is normal) and then my thyroid is out of the norm. Yea!

So I've been to two different doctors and I'm hoping that I can get my body back to "normal". Again - a ha ha right? What the heck is normal?

Breakfast this morning

So I stayed home sick today since I have a throat infection. That meant that I was slow to wake up and consequently decided to let Reagan sleep. She got me up about 7:45 (ahhhhh) and I crawled up the stairs to find her jumping in her bed and hanging on to her stuffed animals.

Most mornings, I just take her to school and let her eat there. But today, I had no timeline and really wanted to just let her chill. So I got my coffee, turned on Blue's Clues and plopped her butt in the chair with some yogurt. She's gotten really good at drinking stuff from a cup so I always have fun watching her do this.

For some reason, the Danimal folks decide that they can't make the drinkable yogurt containers easy to drink from. So she drank most of it and handed it to me "mooorrrreee". So I got her another one. She did the same thing.

Hmmm. So I grabbed a shot glass and poured the rest of it in the glass. Is that bad? She loved it.

Mommie's sick

I'm actually sick again. So frustrating. I've been so flippin' tired lately that I just can't keep up. That is just not like me. SO on the way home from work last night, I drove straight to Urgent Care. Another throat infection. ugh!!! So not only is my thyroid screwed up - which makes me tired - but I'm also sick.

Hmmm. Good thing Reagan has great hugs - she always makes me feel better.

I love you

She actually said "I love you" to Jordan on the way home from LRS tonight. Wow! I didn't hear it, but Jim told me about it. How cool is that?

Hide... hide...

Right after dinner, Jim got up and the out to the garage. Reagan and Jordan had already gotten down from the table and were wandering around doing kid stuff. As soon as I heard the door slam, I noticed that the house was very quiet. My mind immediately went to Reagan - where was she? Hmmm.

I quickly looked around and didn't see her anywhere. I poked my head out the garage door and called to Jim - no Reagan there either. Even Jordan didn't know where she was. Now what?

So I started to get worried - "Where's Reagan?" I started calling. After a few times of calling for her, I heard her say "hide... hide..." in her little voice. She was hiding somewhere - now I had to find her.

I did finally find her. She was hiding where she and Jim always hide - under his desk.

New kitchen in the living room

Today, during Reagan's nap, I put her new Ikea kitchen together with some help from Jim. When we got Reagan up from her nap, we brought her downstairs to see what she'd do. Nothing - she sat in front of it and didn't really react at all. Well, until Jim started playing in it. Then she was ALL over it!

She served us all sorts of food. Cooked some crazy stuff. We had gotten her utensils and then I got some ramicans from our cupboard and set her up some serving dishes. She played forever. I think she would have played all night except we had to go out to eat.

I'm glad she likes it.

get outta here mommy

I was sitting in the rocking chair expecting her to come to me for some snuggle time and Jim said, "get out of here mommy". Reagan follow up with a similar statement and I left.

Wow!

Bedtime battles

Well, we're at it again. Reagan is battling going to bed. It's been a week now officially and Jim and I are not sure what to do but let her cry it out. She just won't sleep.

We have our routine - bath, books, snuggle, bed. She will lay down some nights and others she will flat out refuse to even lay down in her crib. Five nights ago, she screamed for over two hours straight... Jim and I were up all night that night. It's been on and off since then.

Right now, I'm listening to her scream. I listened for an hour then went upstairs to check on her. She was wet, but fine. So Jim snuggled with her for five minutes and put her back down. Now I'm counting in my second hour of screaming. So far, she's at 15 minutes and still going strong. Hmmm.
