I actually think it's crazy how many words Reagan says. Every day we get new words - multiple words. Every day she tries to say more words. It's so cute towatch her. Most the time, she'll mimic you and get it half right. Every once in a while, she'll nail it and say the most complicated word that it shocks me.
Tonight when I was reading to her in her room, she pointed at her books and said "book" so clearly that I asked her to say it again. I didn't believe it.
I absolutely love the way she says hippo - "Appo" and she's even saying "milk" now.
She even almost got "Sydney" out of her mouth tonight. She's so close...

Didn't go so well tonight
Tonight didn't go as smooth putting Reagan to bed. I went to Pilates after work and came home. Reagan was happy to see me, but she didn't really want me to put her to sleep. It kinda hurt my feelings some. I really wanted to snuggle with her some, but she called out for daddy. Sniff sniff *') So I called out for daddy and he kicked me out of her room.
She didn't drink her bottle, she didn't go to sleep at all. She did, however, jump up and down in her crib so much that we could hear her through the floor. After that, she started screaming. That went on for a while. I eventually gave in and check in on her.
She just wanted to snuggle. I picked her up to check her diaper and lay her down and she clung to me so hard I couldn't put her down. So I sat down with her in the rocking chair and she went right to sleep. sniff sniff. I held her for a while and got my snuggle fix. :)

No more bottle
Well tonight, I decided, that we were no longer going to give Reagan a bottle at night. That means no more bottles during the day or night for her. We'd been only giving her a bed-time bottle the last couple months, but Jim and I were talking more and more that we wanted to get her off it all together.
So I told Jim we were taking the plunge. He was ready to.
She did great. We did bath, story time and then she drank from a sippy cup. There was a battle for a bit - she didn't want it at all. But I said, "this is it, no bottle, just milk".
She waited...
Then she finally figured out that she wanted the milk more than she needed the actual bottle and drank most of it before going to sleep.
Whew!

Whinny butt
Oh my. Tonight, Reagan was just full of the whinnies and just fussing all evening. What stinks is that I am afraid she's got another ear infection. How, I'm not sure because she has tubes. The last time she acted this way is when her ears were full. I'm just dreading the thought that her ears may have gotten stopped up with mucus. The good thing is that her rash is getting better. I don't know if it is time or if it is the steroid cream. Either way, I'm glad she's healing.
Jim took her upstairs for a bath - whinning all the way. And of course, all I could hear was "I don't know". Last night Jim taught her that phrase. She was sitting in the bath tub, shrugging her shoulders and saying "I dunno". How cute is that? (cute until she really means it).

The A-word
Ummm, yea. She said it.
"A$$ho"
We were eating dinner and Jim said the word, not thinking at all. And then she repeated it (almost clearly). We looked at each other and said "uh oh".
Whoops. So, where is that quarter jar?

Twirling
She absolutely loves to twirl. She'll start twirling around and stop to check to make sure you're watching. She'll twirl and giggle and keep going until her eyes bug out and she falls to the ground.

The zoo
Today we went to the zoo for the first time this year. We got to see some pretty cool animals and the girls even got to feed the giraffes. Jordan was pretty cool about it, but Reagan was a little timid. Reagan absolutely loved the rhino, the monkeys and the ducks (they weren't in cages). Jordan loved everything. We had a great time just the four of us!
