Well this morning started really early for me – 4:00 am. UGH. I don’t know how she does it – she just wakes up randomly at any time of the morning I think to mess with me. Ha ha. So I took off with the dogs about 8:45 am to take them to get their toes done at the Daycare place. Of course, they ended up staying there for a half day of Daycare. After that, I went over to mom and dad’s to have some coffee and some “me” time before I went back home. When I got home, Jordan and Jim were “rocking out” on RockBand. I joined them on a few songs before her mom came to pick her up for the weekend.

After the morning, our day slowed down quite a bit. Jim and I finished up the garage (yea after six weeks) and just hung with the baby. Mom and Dad came over for a leisurely dinner and evening.

Reagan No no
She has figured out how to say “no” without realizing it. She shakes her head back and forth and then looks up to see my reaction. I always laugh.

Today was an interesting day. She got up at 5am, but then went back to sleep at 6am until 10am. Weird. I slept too. When she got up, she was starving! Oh my – she ate a lot. Then we went off to watch Jordan play a pick-up game at SOAS BB camp. She did great. She stayed up for five hours straight and finally went back down about 3pm after she ate again. She tried out the walker again today and did pretty well. We got her to hop down the hallway after Jordan. Something of note – she actually likes peas and bananas now. She must have just not liked the texture the first time around.

I did get a little worried today and called the doctor. I received an email that indicated that I might be feeding her too much food. That coupled with the rolls on her entire body sent me into a slight panic about her food intake. Ugh. So I called the doctor and they said I was doing everything fine. Thank goodness.

Green?

Ok what is it with Green Poop! She had green poop yesterday and three times today. I’m guessing it’s the peas she has been eating lately. Plus the fact that she’s doing it multiple times in a day is weird too. Maybe it’s the combination of the chicken meal plus the peas. Hmmm. Not sure but boy does she stink. Ick.

Up up

Today we played the “up up” game. I’m trying to get her to start pulling up on her own – she is really close. We start in the laying down position and she actually will hold out her hands when I say “up up”. She pulls up to sitting and then she pulls up to standing. Wow. After that, I throw her “up up” a few times as a reward for working on sitting and standing so well. She giggles everytime and is getting used to the game quickly.

6 month pics

Today I went to get Reagan’s Six Month pictures taken. She did really well. I was very happy with the person and how she interacted with Reagan. She was able to get her to smile and stay happy throughout the whole session. Thank goodness. But now I’m kicking myself in the butt for spending way too much money on pictures. Ugh. Oh well. She’s only this age once I guess. At least they are super adorable pictures.

Good day

We had a really nice day today. She slept through the night until 530am. Yea Reagan. I woke up with her and gave her a bottle and she went back to bed about an hour later. We did all sorts of things today – played in her jumper, hung out on the floor and also tried her new walker. I tried several times today to get her to roll over, but she just doesn’t seem interested. Mom came over about 330pm to hang out with me and Reagan. Reagan ended up deciding she didn’t need her nap at 330pm and just stayed up until 500pm. She went down for her nap right before I left for karate. She and Grammy played quite a bit while I was gone. I knew she had a great time because she was grinning when I got home. Grammy and Grampy stayed over for pizza and went home soon after. What a nice day.

A walker for bb girl

Tonight, Jim and I went out to Johnny’s Toys to get her a walker. He has wanted to get her one for a little while now and he finally convinced me to get one. When we got there, we put Reagan in one of the floor models. She played with the toys at first and then tried to jump. Jim was able to coax her down the floor by telling her to “jump or kick” – our universal words for moving her legs. She bunny hopped down the floor and eventually took a few steps towards him. It was just adorable. So that pretty much locked us into buying it. Believe it or not, it was $30 cheaper at Johnny’s than it was at BabiesRUs, even with my coupon. My gosh! We also got her some cups. She loves to play with her plastic bowls so much that I wanted to go ahead and get her cups now. We got her these stacking balls that will let you stack them up, click them together to make a ball or just play with each one. We stuck her in her highchair while we were eating and let her play with them.

A bunch of stuff - pulling hair and eating other stuff

Pulling her hair
Just an odd thing – she started pulling her hair today. We were at the store and she just reached up and started pulling. She's done that periodically throughout the day. Just thought it was interesting.

Airborne!
Loves being tossed into the air – getting airborne

Let’s Try some new solid foods
Jim really wanted to get some new solid foods for Reagan today. At least he talked withChicken with Sweet potatos – she like them.

Jumping game

Well now she like to jump. I started a game with her the other day – from laying down to sitting, from sitting to standing, from standing to jumping. Well now she just wants to jump. Uh oh!

Standing up today

Standing up
She is really starting to try to stand up on her own. She’s been jumping and standing in her “stations” for a while now. She really enjoys that. But we’ve been working on her just standing alone. I’ve stood her up on the couch and she does really well. She’ll even try to push away from the couch to stand on her own. Tonight Jim did that with the coffee maker. She stands supported, but then tries to push off to stand on her own.

Floppy seat success

Today was the first time we used the floppy seat successfully. We ventured out to Biggs to go grocery shopping right after her lunch and was able to get through the store while she was awake. She really seemed to enjoy the trip. She was alert and watching everything around her. Jordan was a big help too – she played with Reagan almost the entire time we were shopping. She loves her big sister. Jim gave her a sample of cantaloupe while we were there – she loved it. She kept opening her mouth for more. After she ate that, she started grabbing at her hair.
