Well folks she finally did it. She pooped through her clothes for the first time (and second time) today. Wow was it gross. The doctor said that her stool would become runny and red and she was NOT KIDDING!! EWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
I picked her up out of the car seat to change her before we went into HHGregg and she had leaked through. When we changed her, it was literally everywhere and it was runny. Ok - that's enough recap of her poop. Sorry if you read this. :)

Big Day - New Toys for the Carmans
Today was a big day for us. I got my hair done :) and Jim bought a brand new television. Oh yea, and I got a new camera. It was an expensive day I guess. Hmmm.
So, Jim got this: Samsung 52" TV
I got this: A new haircut, not but I really did get this: a camera
Not only that, but I was able to get a little "me" time today which was much needed. I took off and left eh girls with Jim and went shopping. I was able to mark a few things off my list finally. Woo hoo.

Feeling better
Aw, the pumpkin feels better today. Her double ear infection really slowed her down a lot and made our little happy-go-lucky baby into a cranky little one. Ugh. I hated seeing her that way. The last few days she's hurled everything when the medicine hit her stomach. The second shot she got yesterday at the doctors really helped and she was able to keep the Motrin down. Thank goodness.
Sleep is good - no matter how you get it
Last night I decided to just cuddle up with little Reagan on the couch to ensure I got some sleep. It worked like a charm. Reagan stirred quite a bit her early sleep, but once I got her snuggled up on my chest, she slept perfectly. I hate doing that because she needs to sleep in her own crib, but I needed sleep too. Anytime she stirred, I was able to immediately comfort her and she'd go back to sleep. That also allowed me not to completely wake up by climbing the stairs to get to her. Much better. So she and I both slept last night, not great, but still slept.

Another crazy day
Well today was another sick day for Reagan. She seemed to be okay in the morning, but by the afternoon she was back to feeling pretty bad. Jim called right after he woke up from a nap with Reagan and she was screaming. So I said to just get her to the doctor. I basically shut down at work and took off. I picked up Jordan and met Jim and Reagan at the doctors.
The doctor we saw was a funny guy. He had a nice sense of humor which made us all laugh and me relax some. Unfortunately for Ms. Reagan, her ears were not improved enough for the doctor. He suggested that she get another antibiotic shot. This time when the nurse showed up, she just started crying. I think she knew what was coming. But she quieted down very fast and started playing with Jordan and Jim. Yea! He said that if she couldn't hold down the antibiotic on Sunday and/or she wasn't better that he wanted to give her a third shot on Monday. Ugh.

Reagan is SICK and my day was nutty
Today was a little crazy. I woke up knowing that I had to take Jordan to school early and get myself to work by 830am at the latest. I had an all-day meeting that I was leading and wanted to make sure I was settled long before it started. Jim was going to let Reagan sleep in and he would take her to school since he was working from home.
The all-day meeting we had at work went well. We were able to get a lot accomplished and I felt good about the outcome. Those kinds of meetings are so draining no matter the topic, but sometimes very necessary.
Unfortunately I got a call from LRS about 245pm to inform me that Reagan had a 101.8 degree temp and that we needed to come get her. There went my concentration. I was now officially disconnected from my meeting and starting down "panickville road" about Reagan. Can you say stress-monkey? (It is so easy to tell when I haven't had any sleep... I tend to stress out and get nutty with the slightest bump in my day.)
That call sent me right down that road. Wow!!! I did my best to contain myself at work and took off as soon as I could get finished with the meeting.
My poor mother listened to me just go crazy when I was driving to get Reagan... I'm a bad mom, knew she was sick, why not this, why not that. OMG! Thanks for listening mom and thanks for knowing me enough to know I was totally sleep deprived and not literally nvts.
Anyway, I called the doctor and they said to bring her in right away. They said she should be much better by now (not worse) and that they would probably need to give her an antibiotic shot. I met Jim and Jordan at the doctor's office and I took over with Reagan. I sat in the office with her and boy oh boy was she flaming hot.
Reagan was pale other than her cheeks which had perfect red hot circles on them. She almost looked like a clown. Her outfit was only half on - apparently Jim was in a hurry when he picked her up. Her top was not snapped shut... she was still cute though.
She laid on me until the doctor came in and they took a quick look. She told me she now has a double ear infection. WOW! I'm glad they got me in. I was really amazed, but knew there was something wrong. They gave her a shot of an antibiotic and also some Motrin to bring down her fever. My poor little angel cried and cried for about 5 minutes. Then she fell asleep on my lap. We had to sit in the doctor's office for about 20 minutes to make sure she was not going to react to the shot.
When I got home, she was feeling a little better. Between the Motrin and the drugs, I think she was able to perk up some. She played for a while on the floor, but ended up going to bed early. I think by the end of the day we were all pretty exhausted. I figure I'll be holding her tonight so I can get some sleep.

Patting
She pats me. She pats Jim and Jordan. She pats everyone. When we pick her up, she will just start patting our shoulders or our backs, like we do to her. I am not sure why she started doing that, but she started doing it about a week ago and is now doing it on a regular basis. So cute.

Up all night
Poor little Reagan. She was sick all night. I put her in bed about 915pm and she fell asleep pretty fast. She had not only a dose of Amoxicillin but also some Tylenol for her ear infection in her system. About midnight, she woke up very unhappy. I'm not sure what happened next because it was Jim's turn to take care of her overnight. But I figured out that I had to go upstairs to check on the situation. Pretty normal.
I walked out of the bedroom and Jim was a little hot. He had been calling for me and he was frustrated because Reagan was not doing well. She was hot and crying and had spit up some on the floor. I went upstairs to try to help him and that meant I had to take over. As soon as she saw me, she wanted me.
So there I was, sitting in the rocking chair, holding onto Reagan. She was really worked up and crying quite a bit. She at one point, couldn't stop coughing and finally just hurled all over herself and me. Wow did that STINK!! It was real puke too, not just some formula or medicine. It had food in it. Ugh. I've now been grossed out a few times by her today.
So, Jim picked her up and I realized I had a pool of puke between my legs. :)
After I got changed, I picked her up and took her downstairs. We talked to the doctor and he said to watch her and give her a re-dose of Tylenol or Motrin because she needed it for the fever and to call in the morning to bring her in. We went downstairs and sat on the couch. I didn't know what else to do and then I remembered - Baby Einstein. What a wonderful thing. She calmed down very quickly and got absorbed into the cute little puppets and babies on the screen. She was up from about 12 midnight til 2am or so. She then finally slept from about 2am to 4am. She got up again and I held her until about 6am. I know she slept some but not much.

Floater in the tub
Ok. Tonight was a banner night for my little dainty girl. Not only did she pee on her changing table but she also pooped in the tub. Yep Ladies and Gentleman, she POOPED in the tub. Mom and I were playing with her in the tub and she started to hunch over a bit and "concentrate". We all know what that looks like. I said "is she pooping?" I had to pick her up while Mom looked to see if anything was floating out. Oh man. Not only did she have pebble floaters, she had also pooped enough for it to stick to her bath seat.
I was completely grossed out! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Nine month doctor's visit
I picked her up from LRS about 145pm for her 215pm appointment. She hadn't taken a morning nap, so I knew I was in for a fun doctor's visit. She passed out on the way there and did not want to wake up at all to get out of the car seat. I put the blanket on my shoulder so she'd have something to snuggle on. She slept during the walk into the office, while I was checking in and during the initial visit. The nurse said "ya know you're going to have to wake her up". Duh - I knew that. She was none too happy about having to undress to get on the scale. As soon as I started undressing her, she started crying. My little angel was wiped out and hungry both, but I think the tired was winning out.
It went well. She's over 95th percentile in both weight and height. She's about 50th percentile for her head. She's consistent. My little angel is not so little. He heeee. She usually does really well with Dr. Hsu but today she did not want to get poked at. She wanted to sleep and be left alone.
He did tell me that her cold had turned into an infection and that her ear was getting red and had some fluid behind it. Poor thing. She had to get a finger prick today to check for anemia and a flu shot. Oh boy did that hurt. She had no idea what was coming. She just looked at me like "what the heck mom" and started bawling. Ugh. Then the flu shot. Yea, she didn't stop crying for about five minutes. Poor thing.
Needless to say, when we got in the car, she fell right asleep. When we got home, I got her out of the car and took her upstairs. She didn't wake up even for that. I put her down and she slept for three hours and woke up starving of course. Poor thing.

Mwuaaaaaa
Kiss me please! Yes folks, she kisses now... and she even makes the noise. Now all we have to teach her is how to blow a kiss. :)
Give me the rock
As Jim says... Reagan has been in the habit for a while now to lift her fist up for you to kiss. She started it at night when I would put her down and now she's doing it during the day. She'll be in someone's arms and she'll list her arm straight out for them, close to their mouth. Once they kiss it, she pulls it away and tries it again. I wonder where she got that from.
She's too big for 18 month clothing
Well, I knew my little girl wasn't little, but this is nuts. I finally bought her some fall clothes. I got some that were 24 months and some that were 18 months. I wasn't 100% sure what size she was, but I figured based on her length and weight, she should be in 18 month stuff. I put her in an 18-month Carters outfit this morning(which is usually true to size) and the pants were too snug. WOW!
I put her in a 24 month outfit yesterday and the pants were snug on her. But I thought it was because they were stretchy pants. NOPE. I'm really glad I didn't pull the tags off of everything I bought. I'll be returning the 18 month stuff and getting 24 months stuff.

I'm not goopy
Well, she wasn't goopy this morning when she woke up. I wonder if the humidifier made that big of a difference. She didn't have it on Saturday night and she woke up congested. I turned it on last night and she woke up totally fine. Hmmm

Chili Contest
Jim is entering a Chili Contest. This means that he's making a lot of chili. He's really not, but we are having it every weekend. Yesterday he made a smoky apple chili that was fantastic. I know I ate way too much of it, but it was really good. The contest is this weekend at a local church fair. Cross your fingers he wins. If he does, his recipe will be on the menu over the winter with his name on it. How cool is that?
Paul, Emily and Little man Sean
The Cahills came over this afternoon for a visit. They showed up about 2pm and stayed until a little after 7pm. As soon as Reagan got up, the kids were playing on the floor together. Since Reagan is getting more mobile, it's easier for her to play with Sean.
They did really well together. I don't think Reagan hit him once. Ha ha. I took tons of pictures, of course, of the two of them together. It's been so long since I've seen him. He's just so darn cute and photogenic. he heeee.
After we ate some of Jim's new chili, the guys passed out on the couches. Emily and I were on the floor with the kids. Sean eventually laid down with his daddy and it made it "the boys are sleeping and the girls are playing". Too cute.
We had a nice visit with them. Hopefully next time we'll hit the pool.

Goopy eyes
Oh No! She's got the Goopy Eyes! I woke her up this morning and her little eyes were almost glued shut with the yellow goop. I wasn't really sure what to do other than wipe it off. By the way, that makes her really mad. :) She hates her face being wiped off, unless she's in the tub, and hates her eyes being touched even more. And that stuff is really hard to get off of the eyes and eye lashes. It's amazing. It's like super glue.
She had it all day. We called the doctor in the morning and he thought it was probably just a cold bug, or the leftovers from it. Sometimes that snot backs up out of their little eyes instead of their noses. Ugh! That's stinks. But at least she could breathe.
The good thing is that she was happy most the day. She did get cranky towards the end of the day but all in all, she was ok.

Mama
This morning, when I walked into her room, she looked at me and said "mama". Just simple Mama. No Babbling before or after. She said it!
Reagan is mobile!
Ok - I'm just putting a bunch of stuff in this blog because I am just short on time. But I wanted to keep the baby updates posted. So here it goes.
Walker - She is just crazy in it. She runs around this house and chases the dogs as soon as we put her in it. The cool thing is that she's getting stronger, so she is able to move much better on the carpeting. Because of that, we put the rugs back down on the hardwood tonight. She needs to get those legs moving!
Cruising - she's doing it much better. We put her up to the coffee table today a few times and she is getting much better at it. I'm just waiting now for her to pull herself up and just go.
Pulling up - she is trying to pull herself up more often now. I think since she started crawling, she's figuring out that she can "move". Uh oh! She has figured out that she can not pull up on her walker - it moves. :)
Balancing - oh my. I was holding her on the floor today and she stood completely on her own for at least 15 seconds. Just stood there - not wavering a bit. I grabbed on to her before she lost her balance because it made me nervous. Remember I'm a spaz.
I am sure it helped that she was completely focused on Baby Einstein. But amazing no matter what.
