Reagan violin lessons

Well tonight didn't go as well as it did last week. Last week, she had a private lesson and she did fantastic. This week, she had to share again and she did not do so well. She actually wanted to leave early. How nice. I sent her teacher a note requesting private lessons, but I haven't got a lot of confidence that she is willing.

Last Friday, she was able to get a private lesson last week because the other kids didn't show up. It was AWESOME. She paid attention, she dances, she laughed and she learned. When we left, she didn't stop talking about her teacher and how much she loved violin.

Tonight, she did the complete opposite.

It sux.

Maddy's doctor visit

Maddy is so happy even when she doesn't feel well. She and I went to the doctor today and she did great. She doesn't like to get poked and prodded at all. She hates it when the doctor looks in her ears or if you try to wipe her face. But other than that, she does well.

No shot today. We got a rest from shots. Fingers crossed that she does well until Monday morning. We get to see the ENT then. :)

Sick sick sick

Our family has gotten it all this last time. Maddy got a cold two Fridays ago, then on Monday the 8th, she got a double ear infection. Sydney tried to die on us on Tuesday. Jim got strep on Wednesday. Maddy went back to the doctor on Wednesday because her fever wouldn't go down below 102.5 for days. On Friday, Maddy's fever broke a bit, but not in time to go to school. Reagan woke up with strep on Saturday the 14th. I got strep and a sinus infection on the 15th. Yea team!!

Maddy's doing better

Today, Maddy had her second shot. She is doing much better. Thank goodness. Her spirits seem better and her sleeping is better. She did cough a lot last night, but then again, so did I.

another round of shots please

Maddy still has not gotten rid of her ear infection. Poor thing. The doc suggested today that we do a round of shots to get her over this ear infection. I'm curious to hear what the ENT will say on Monday.

Reagan and performing

Reagan has really gotten into performing lately. She wants to sing and dance for us on a regular basis. I'm hoping this performing fever started with her violin performance and is carrying through. She also starting to get more interested in her violin practice as well. Keep your fingers crossed everyone.

Reagan's dancing

Reagan has started to get out her dance shoes and want to give us a little recital each night. She puts on her ballet shoes and then dances around the living room while playing the music. She jumps and spins and carries on. She is just so proud of herself. I can't wait until her dance recital. I watch her and she makes sure I am watching her - almost as if she needs some approval. It's awesome.

Sydney is getting better

Sydney is starting to get back to normal. Tonight was the first time she played with Reagan in a little while. She must be feeling better. She ran around the house with Reagan and played fetch for a bit. Reagan was in heaven. She missed her little buddy.

The alphabet

Reagan and I were getting my mom's Mother's Day present together and she decided to write out the alphabet for her. She grabbed a big piece of paper from Jim's office and her crayons and started writing. So cute. She actually did really well. She only needed help with a couple letters. She even wrote in mom's card for the first time. She signed her own name and wrote "I love you". So grown up.

Maddy and breathing

Apparently Maddy can scare the crap out of me. Last night, I was up until 5am watching her sleep. Her little nose was so stopped up that she couldn't breathe through it. The twist to that is that she doesn't mouth breathe well yet. So she'd be sleeping and not breathing. Then, she'd open up her mouth and gasp for air. It drove me nuts.

Jim and I called the doctor about midnight. He told me that he'd be paranoid because of how she was breathing as well. Needless to say, I'm very tired, but thankful little Maddy is okay. Mad, she scared the crap out of me.
