So cool

Reagan is getting so big and so smart. She's really starting to put several words together in sentences, follow more complex directions and is so loving. Every morning, she looks for everyone. She asks where the puppies, dad and jordan are - almost in a routine.

If she hears the dogs start barking for no apparent reason, she's take a breath in and say "I wonder who's here!?" while cocking her head to the side.

She's also really starting to potty train more seriously - or at least for the moment. She refuses to go potty on the baby potty - it must be on the big potty. She's starting to get better at recognizing when she has to go as opposed to waiting til she's done and asking. She did poop for the first time Tuesday night on the potty. :)

Tonight, I was baking cookies and she came running when she heard the timer go off. I put my hand up and said "wait baby, it's hot". She just stood there watching me pull the cookies out. Later, while playing with the train set, she put the people down and said "wait there, it's hot". Totally cute.

Lovin' the train set

This morning, I got Reagan up at 7:30 am despite her late bedtime last night. The first things she asked for was "Daddy?" and the second thing was "rugurt". :) I'm waiting to tell Jim that she was asking for him all day because it might make it hard on him to be gone.

Anyway, as soon as Reagan was done with her Rugurt and oatmeal, she immediately got down and pulled out the box that had Jordan's old train set in it. She played with that for over an hour - no joke. And when I said, let's go see Mimi and Papa, she said no. Wow! She loves that thing.

She hung out there while I ran some errands and of course, refused to take a nap for them. So I put her down after a snack at 3:00 pm today and we both slept right through til 6:00 pm. (So much for going to the Christmas play tonight). Ugh.

Anyway, Reagan and I played all night. We ate veggies and cookies (I had to make 12 dozen for the cookie exchange). At 8:00 pm, I realized that I didn't have enough dough. I screwed up my count. So I piled her in the car at 8:30 pm and took off for Wally World. Weeeeee. It really wasn't that bad. But I had to get some premade dough because I was "done" making cookies. I totally cheated on my last 3 dozen. Oh well.

We got home with a few extra things like a Dora doll and a Dora book. :) (It kept her quiet). I finally convinced her about 10:00 pm to get in the bath and into bed by 1030 pm. Woo hoo. So I'm still up relaxing. I have a feeling that tomorrow will come very early for me.

Hangin' with Sean!

Tonight, we got together with Emily and Sean at Totter Otterville. Since Jim was not home, I decided to find a way to let Reagan run crazy while I didn't have to. Johnny's is the perfect place. We got there about 5:30 pm and let them go. They played on the trains, the make believe room, the padded area, the blocks.

After we all ate, we made our way over to the ball pit. Oh My! They were hysterical. Sean did these dive bombs into the ball pit. He'd get prepared and then just launch himself forward and giggle. Reagan would just scream with glee watching him. Every once in a while, she'd jump down into the balls. Way too cute. Eventually there was enough static electricity built up that their hair was standing on ends. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of that - my camera died.

They played on the slides and finally starting showing signs of wearing down about 7:30 pm. Whew. I had a great time relaxing with Emily. It was a really nice way to spend a Friday evening. Thanks Em!

I'm a big girl

Reagan is getting to be such a big girl. She's really starting to get the hang of the whole potty thing. She's starting to ask on a more regular basis and getting better at actually going when she says she needs to. I made the mistake, though, a few days ago of introducing a "potty treat" at the recommendation of a work friend.

Now, she goes but we have to argue a bit if she doesn't really "go" about the potty treats. Last night, she actually did #2 in the potty for the first time. I was so thrilled that I almost gave her the whole bag full. :)

Still up and I'm waiting

It's 11pm and Reagan is STILL UP! Oh My!

She really does have a very fragile sleep schedule. If we miss by one day, she is all dorked up with her sleep. Tonight, Jim and I have been upstairs to put her to bed about three times. She just won't settle down.

It's now 11:00 and she is still singing "amazing grace" and putting her snugglies in Time out. Wow!

Did I give her some sugar that I didn't know about?
She's got a few new songs in her collection now - Baa Baa Blacksheep, Rockabye baby, and her Duck song.

Bouncy butt and holy terror

This weekend Reagan's schedule got all crazy. She wouldn't take naps, she didn't settle down at night. Consequently, tonight she was a little wound up and cranky. She went from bouncing around the house one minute to flailing on the ground mad because I said it was bath time. Nuts!

She did really well during the waking hours of our weekend. She had no troubles at all. But once we started the nighttime routine, she freaked. Oh well. Once we get back into the week, we'll get back on schedule.
