Finger foods rock
Finger foods rock. She's trying everything. But she loves puffs and cheezy poofs (baby kind).
Clicking her tongue
Maddy has started to do some interesting things with her mouth in the last few days. She's started sucking in her cheeks - like she's doing half of the fish face. She's also started clicking her tongue a lot. It's cute. She'll do it and then look at you like "hey listen". Totally cute.
Maddy's tongue
What is it with her tongue? She likes to move it around and "show it" to me. It's cute. I do what she does and she just starts to giggle. Too cute.

learning to walk
Maddy is learning to walk a bit. She loves to walk while holding on. I think she does this quite a bit at school. Today she walked across our living room and then just looked up at me like "ok mom".
Love this stuff. :)
Love this stuff. :)
Up on all fours
Maddy actually got up on all fours today and crawled. Not very far, but she did it. Uh oh. Has she figured out how to do that. If so, I'm really in trouble. Commando crawling is containable... sometimes. Real crawling is nuts!
loves her doggies
She loves to play with her playskool doggies. Every time she goes to her toy box, she pulls it out first and starts hitting all the places that make noise. She loves her keys and anything she can bite hard. I just love watching her play.

Violin practice
She's doing great! Holy cow. I really stopped giving her a choice about practicing. I determined it's more an obey thing than anything else at this point and am just gently making her mind. Oh well. Hopefully it won't backfire on me one day.
None-the-less, she is playing. Tonight was her second practice and she already has the notes figured out. I just hope she can smooth it out before her next lesson on Monday.
I'm so proud of her.

Her laugh
She laughs like her mama. She snorts and she gasps fr air when she gets laughing hard. I love it.

Happy 9 months Maddy
My little Maddy is nine months today. I can't believe it - she's getting so big. We celebrated her 9 months by trying out new table foods at dinner. The carrots didn't go over so well, but she loves the "puffs". She's getting to the point that she wants different foods - not just her baby food. The biggest change in the last week or so is the need to stand up. She LOVES to stand up. I'm hoping she starts cruising soon. She is trying.

So cute in her sleep
Maddy is so darn cute when she sleeps. She sleeps on her side or on her tummy. Most mornings, I find her in one of those positions with her hands on her face or in her mouth. She always wakes with a smile and a giggle. She's so happy. As soon as I pick her up, she starts looking around as if she doesn't want to miss anything.
My food is crawling
Tonight, we made a really simple dinner - turkey, mixed veggies and blackberries. Odd, but Reagan likes fruit. As we sat down and started to eat, she started complaining that her food was crawling. Hmm. Really? Yes - REALLY! There were tiny little bugs crawling on her plate. The only thing we could come up with was that the blackberries had bugs. ICK! EW! Jim and I didn't have fruit or bugs. Bummer dude. (oh - Jim ate some of the berries before he even put any on her plate ha ha)
Violin
Reagan is really doing well on the violin. Her lesson was to review the "A" and "E" strings playing Mississippi Hot Dog. She got that. Her teacher had her move on from there and taught her the first finger on the E string - the "F#". Yea!!! So this week she gets to practice the first part of Twinkle. I think I'm probably more excited than her.

Water Babies
Maddy is a natural in the water. She got in today for the first time and just flipped to her back. It was really interesting. She just hung out. No big deal. Reagan decided to try to swim without her swimmies. She still doesn't like to get her face to wet. But she will try. She and Jordan played a lot with the dive rings. Jordan dove into the water for them. Reagan pointed to where they were. It was cute.
Oh yea - four lessons, four notes. Hmmm. Think she's getting more from this teacher. :)

Moving on up
Maddy got moved up to the movers room at church. I was a little nervous since it is a big transition. She did fine. She crawled around quite a bit and played on the floor. She drained a bottle for the workers and took a nice little nap on Jeanine's husband. :)
