Better off walking

Maddy loves to walk around the house. She gets really impatient if she doesn't get to stand up and move around.

Pulling up officially

This morning, Maddy showed off her new skills. She was pulling up on everything. She hates to be contained. I tried to get a video, but her leg was stuck under the coffee table. When I moved it, she got mad at me and crawled away. Hmm. Little attitude maybe? Impatient? Not sure, but love the new activity.

Squatting?

Tonight, Maddy was playing on her blanket and pulled up half way. She just squatted. I am not really sure how long, but she just played like that. I'm guessing she's just about to pull up.

Shaving of the legs

Reagan wanted to take a shower in our bathroom tonight. Jim said "okay" and followed her in. She got right in and he decided to let her play. After I got done with Maddy's bath, I went in to hang out and chat while Reagan finished up.

Reagan started complaining about her legs - they're red mommy and it won't go away. I thought it was odd. Jim was playing on the phone. We opened the door and she was bleeding. Hmmm. My razor was, somehow, off the wall. (BTW - it's at least six feet off the ground). I'm not sure how she got it down, but she shaved her legs. At first, we thought she got hit by a falling razor. Not so. After the redness from the hot water went away, it was obvious. She had tried to shave her legs. She had marks up and down her thighs. Oops.

She's not happy. I'm amused but worried it will get infected. Sigh. I love my daughter.

Nipples are hard?

The other day, after an afternoon of naked crawling, we noticed a hard knot in Maddy's nipple. Her right nipple was enlarged and red and hard as a rock. The next morning, it seemed okay so we didn't worry. This afternoon, I noticed it was hard as a rock again. Geez. What gives? So between the crazy fevers again, swollen neck glands and this, we're taking her to the doctor in the morning.

Sleepin' on her belly

Maddy must really like to sleep on her belly. The last few mornings, I've gone up to her room to only find her face down... literally. She sleeps with her forehead on her hands and her hands are out in front of her in a diamond shape. (just like Jim). At night, when I put her down, she rolls to her side. It's amazing how different my girls are.
