First night alone

My girls had a sleepover at my parent last night. They were so excited. They packed up half of their rooms and gladly took a bath before going on their adventure. When I called to check in, they were happily playing Princess Pop-up - a game they had gotten for Christmas.

It was a strange evening for us. When we got home from the movie, we had no kids to worry about. Just us.

This morning is even stranger. No fighting at the breakfast table. No begging to get dressed. Just silence. While it is nice, I do miss it.

Kona Ice rocks

We decided to take a quick walk down to my parents house. When Jim went outside, he saw the Kona Ice truck. What a treat. So we grabbed some treats and walked right down with some extras for Mimi and Papa. What a fun surprise. We love doing that to them - just showing up randomly with the kids (and sometimes ice cream)
