Maddy's stubborn
She won't a take a nap. She was supposed to take a nap an hour ago. It's not working. So I put her on the floor in the hopes that she would just go to sleep. It's not working. Guess we will have to go for a car ride.

Violin lessons
She had her second violin lesson tonight. She did great. I thought she did great considering how large the classroom is. I originally had her signed up for a 3-4 student class. It is now 8 kids. So I have a level of frustration because I'm paying a lot for less attention for Reagan (which she needs). Even though she tends to play (the only kid of the group) instead of sitting, she absorbs it all. We got home tonight and she wanted to show off for everyone. She had figured out rest position for both the violin and the bow. I know she's ready but I have to get really creative to work with her. But she is a sponge. A total sponge. She took a bow and played for everyone. I'm so proud.
Writing already?
Since Reagan moved up to the preschool room, they have introduced handwriting. It's fun to watch her learn and to hear how they teach her. So far, she's mastered the A, H, C, O and a few others. She's even starting to read sight words. She'll look at something and pick out words. She picks them out of book and off of signs. Interesting. Last night, she picked "sorry" out of a book. Interesting.
Baa baaa baaa
Last night, Maddy got up at 1:00 am. She ate and took a bottle. Of course, she didn't want to go back to sleep by herself. So I picked her up and brought her downstairs. She started babbling in her sling. As I was drifting off to sleep, I heard her say "baa baaa baaa... (strawberry noise) baa baa baaa". She's starting to talk. I smiled.

Spitting in her face - really?
Tonight, Reagan actually spit (like a toddler spits) in Maddy's face. WOW! That was the end of her night. :)
she hugs
Maddy loves to cuddle and hug. She actually will reach up and grab your neck and pull you to her. So cute.

Finally getting better
This morning, Maddy actually seems a little better. Her cough is not nearly as bad and she seemed in better spirits. She's been on her new antibiotic (3rd) for four doses. I'm hoping by Friday she is doing great.
Dress me this way
Reagan is starting to "care" about what she wears. Over the last few months, since she's moved up to the older room, she's made comments here and there about specific items to not wear. Today, I noticed something. She took her shoes off in the car. She didn't say much just "I don't want to wear these anymore Mommy". Normally she'd just throw a fit, but it's like she thought about it. It was polite and a matter of fact. So I said, you don't like wearing sneakers. She said "no". Okay we can fix that. Then we went into school. She walked in the classroom and was immediately greeted by Abby, a little girl in her classroom. They hugged and then stepped back from each other to show off their clothes. Interesting. Reagan pulled her shirt away from her body and look up at Abby as if she was happy with what she had on or was looking for something. She's growing up on me. Sniff sniff. I almost don't know what to do but sit back and watch (and enjoy).

GIrls night tonight
Tonight, Reagan, Maddy and I had a girls night picnic in the basement. Since I knew it was going to just be me and the two younger girls, I promised Reagan in the morning to have a little picnic at night to celebrate. She was already talking about it when I picked her up. When we got home, I started getting our food ready. Fruit and chicken. That's it. Easy finger food and yummies too. We got downstairs and I fed Maddy while Reagan got set up. We spread a blanket out and put in a movie... or tried. I couldn't get the PS3 to play a movie at all. I gave up and found "Tangled" in the OnDemand listings. Maddy played on the floor and Reagan and I watched the movie. It was really good and super cute at the same time. That and I actually got her to eat. Jordan showed up (from church) after the movie was done and the credits were rolling. We had a quick "dance party" and then headed up to bed. I was, of course, told by Reagan that I didn't dance the right way and I was to copy her. :) Love it!

still sick
She's now on her third medication. She's better but not enough. So Jim called the doctor today and he gave us another med to put her on. If she's not well in a few days, we have to go back to see the doctor again. :(
sitting up
Tonight, I sat Maddy on the floor in front of me to play. She sat up by herself for ten minutes before taking a rest on couches. She actually sat and played for over 30 minutes. I was shocked.
I loved watching her play with her music doggie and butterfly. Too amazing.

I spy with my little eye...
...she whispers that in my ear. Then she says "I have a secret. Yes mommy. You know it." All the while smiling at me. But don't try to find the color item. She actually wants to find it by herself. :)

Watching me upside down
Maddy is on her mat just playing. She's watching me upside down right now. It's cute. She just keeps trying to look at me no matter how she can do it. She's cranking her neck around so she can see me. Too cute.
Rolly polly
Now every time I put Maddy down on the floor, she immediately rolls over. That's awesome except she gets mad right away because she can't get back over. So I have to roll her back. When I get her back on her back, she kicks constantly. It's hilarious to watch. She loves her mat time.
