Get out of jail free

If you've been to our home, you know that we have a high top kitchen table. We absolutely love it. It fits us well and little did we know when we bought it, Reagan could skate underneath it while roaming the house in her walker.

Now that's she's walking, she still likes to roam underneath it. Lately she's started using as a hiding place of sorts. She likes to go underneath it and play peek-a-boo with you from behind the chairs and legs of the table. Today, I caught her playing with Sydney in a similar way. Sydney was very interested in where she was at, and Reagan was leaning out from behind a leg and back behind it again. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Tooth #5

It's official - it's in!! Fourth from center on the top row, right side. Woo hoo.

Panting?

Ok, my friend Emily told me a little while ago that her son was panting. Yes, like a dog. Hmmm. I thought it was really cute. Here's the funny thing - now Reagan is doing it. What the heck? Is this a thing that all babies do? She just started doing it yesterday morning and did it again thismorning. She picks up her toys, wanders around and pants - fast.

It is way too cute.

Thanks

I got a phone call from my friend Emily today. She let me know today that the girls are going to be providing our family dinners while I'm laid up with my leg. Holy Cow. I was just amazed. I had not even asked for any help. How amazing is that?
All I know is that I have some great folks around me and it reminds me how grateful I am!

So darn cute

This morning, Reagan was so darn cute. When I woke her up this morning, she sat up and started playing with her little turtle. It's an infant toy attached to her crib, but I've never taken it off because it's our little alarm clock for us. It let's us know when she is "officially awake".

So this morning, she played for a couple minutes before I grabbed her and snuggled. I love her snuggly butt in the morning. After the musical adventure in the crib, she points and makes noise until I take her to her "friends". Her "friends" are a bunch of stuffed animals located on the top of her chest. This morning she wanted to hold Pooh, her lamb and a bear. Every morning it is so different. But I love it. Every once in a while, she'll go through all of them and "kiss" them all before throwing them on the floor.

Guess you have to be there, but I just love it!

Now I'm a tad nervous

I'm getting nervous now, not because of the surgery, but because of the leg block. The doctor's office called today and said surgery was at 11am on Monday. Ugh. So it's a good thing. My achilles tendinosis will be repaired and I will be on my way back to "normal". Ha ha. At least I hope to be able to get back into working out on a regular basis - karate and stuff. I really miss it.

Wanna see a video of what I'm getting done? It's Grooossssss. :) Well, I can't really post the "gross" one because I can't stand to watch it.

Five days to go

I have five days left until surgery. For those of you that don't know, I have an achilles injury that has not healed despite all of my tries. I've worn a boot/aircast for two months. I have done therapy. I've tried resting it. Nothing worked. So after meeting with the doctor a few weeks back, he "suggested" that surgery would be a good option. So keep me in your prayers. Oh and keep Jim in your prayers too. He's going to have to be Mr. Mom and Dad for at least a week - I can't put any weight on my foot for at least two weeks.

Lovey mood today

She woke up in the best mood today. She loved on me this morning, she loved on her "friends" on her dresser - reaching for each one and kissing them and then she loved on the doggies. I can't wait to see how she is after LRS today.

She kissed me

Awwwwwwwwww. I just love her. I picked her up this morning to pull up her pants and she leaned forward, very purposefully, with her lips all puckered up and kissed my nose! Man, she's so squishy.

Jack-in-the-box

She can do it. She figured out how to turn the handle tonight. She's painfully slow and slaps the lid about half-way through the song, but she can do it on her own. WOW!

TV game

Well tonight I used the "new" bonus room. Jim and I set it up over the weekend as a playroom with our old large TV. It's really nice. So I decided while she played with her toys, I would play on the Wii. I have figured out very quickly tonight that I am not a fan of her "tv game". She waited until I was in a hard spot in the game and walked over and turned it off. Just a touch of the button. She giggled! UGH!!! So I turned it on with the remote (of course I thought I was smart). She promptly got up and turned it off again.

So I got up, picked her up and held her on my lap while I played. That worked for about two minutes. Then she squirmed her way off my lap and acted all coy about walking to the TV. Yea yea yea. I know - it's all a game to her. But man, she was a determined little thing. I eventually gave up and played on the floor with her. :) I think that's what she wanted anyway.

Mommy, Read to me

Reagan now is starting to bring me a book nightly. She'll play for a while, but eventually she'll grab one of two books and walk it over to me. It doesn't really matter where I'm at either - she finds me. I think it's cute. She loves her Mommy. :)

Copy cat

Tonight, on the way home, Reagan played copy cat with me. She was "singing" in the car to me. She'd sing a few notes and I'd copy her. After a few times, I thought I'd switch it up on her and sing a different tune. I just did a arpeggio (three up and three down) and she copied me kinda. So I tried five notes - she did it again. She wasn't perfect, but she seemed to play copy cat with me. He hee!

Must pay respect

So today, Obama is getting sworn in. Ugh. Even though I did not vote for him, I still must pay respect to the office. He's got a tough job and I certainly would not want it. I hope and will pray daily for him and his cabinet - that they make good choices for America.

Rough night

Tonight was a rough night. Reagan was a total grump, Jim was asleep, and I need a break.

UGH!

Passed the class

Well, I studied and I passed the Risk Class. Now I'm waiting to get my certification and take the official exam to get my RMP.

Doggies are picky

I just have to document how picky our doggies are. Yesterday, Jim started the process of switching out their food - mixing another brand in with what we have left. So last night, we gave them their first bowl and they both scarfed it down. They then also started to whine and beg for more. WOW! I guess they liked it.

So this morning, I fed the dogs again. Carson and Sydney both immediately started eating - another big deal. But the funny thing was how picky Carson was. Carson was eating, but only the new food. He was taking bites out of his bowl and spitting out the "pellets" from the old food onto the floor. Woops.
