What a crazy week (and I'm a redneck)

I can't believe it - I just haven't had any time to blog at all. It's been a very tiring and crazy week for us. I don't think I ate dinner more than one time before the hour of 9pm all week. Tonight is no different. I'm watching my veggies rotate around in our new microwave just waiting to eat. I'm starving. (Oh yea - it's 9:24 pm)

So let me see if I can recap the nutty-ness of my week.

Monday night, Jim got home late from work which meant it was just me and Reagan most of the evening. We got home from school. We played, we ate, we bathed and Jim walked in as I was getting her a bottle.

Tuesday night was a fun one. The microwave blew up as we were cooking dinner for Reagan (the second night we didn't eat dinner). Jim got home late again and he walked in while I was getting dinner ready. hmmmm. So needless to say, Tuesday was a complete blur for me.

Wednesday night was nuts as well. Jim and I decided that we needed to immediately go and get a new microwave, but we also had to get Jordan to choir practice. Ugh. We had some fun getting that all done. But at the end of the night, we spent way too much money on a new microwave (and range) and then had a super cranky toddler because she was starving. We didn't feed Reagan until 8:30 pm and then she didn't eat at all because she hadn't seen my parents in almost a week. The adrenaline didn't kick in until Jordan said "hey are you guys going to my concert tomorrow night". WHAT!??

Thursday night was Jordan's band concert. It was a nutty day - way too much chaos in my day. At one point in the morning, I decided that it was better to just sit back and "watch my day" because there wasn't anything I could do to stop all the craziness.

Jordan's concert was great. She was so excited - you could see it on her face. She looked so happy. It was a look that I don't see that much, so I enjoy it when I do see it. She giggled and wiggled in her seat everytime the band finished a song. She was so proud. The super cool thing - she won an award for most outstanding woodwind. WOW - just think if she would have actually practiced. He heee.

Friday was a very weird day. Reagan went back to the doctor because she has a very odd rash on her left side. It looks like she was beaten - she has raised bumps that look like a painful bruising. The odd thing is that she doesn't seem affected by the thing. I took her to the doctor regardless to make sure she was really ok. We did get good news - her ears looked fine.

Today gets better. I got up just in time to get to my hair appointment at 9am. Reagan was up a bunch during the night, so I missed my alarm clock. Ugh. I got there and Marty colored my hair. As soon as she started washing it out, she confessed that she felt horrible and wanted to know if I could come back. Yep - no problem. So I took off to go home. Jim and I ran out to HHGreg and picked up our new microwave and boogied home. Reagan went down for a nap and Jim and I started to work on the microwave. We had some drilling and some other cool stuff (I got to play with a dremmel). We got it up, secured and cooking popcorn in under an hour.

After that, we called my parents to watch Reagan so we could get our old entertainment center down to them. I dropped her off at their house (down the hill) and Jim emptied it out. When I got back, we brought it down the stairs pretty well. Nobody got hurt at least. Jim went out to the minivan and realized that there was no way it was going to fit. Hmmm.

Yea, we became rednecks fast. We lugged it out onto the porch, across the grass and then put it in the street. Yes folks, we wheeled it down the hill to my parents. All we needed was a beer in our hands and Jim to take his shirt off (and maybe me super prego) to make the picture totally worth it. I giggled the entire way down to my parents house. I guess you had to see it.

So that's it so far. Reagan did have some neat things this week, but I am going to try to fill in later. I'm beat and I'm hungry.

Talking so much more

Okay - tonight Reagan said some words pretty clearly. It shocked Jim and I so much when she did that we did a double-take. She actually said "blueberry, cup and red". Of course, when we tried to get her to repeat it, she didn't do it. Ugh!

Her new faces

Reagan has started to make this new face - it's all scrunchy and serious. She'll pick something up to look at it and say "ooo" with this face. As soon as I get a chance, I'll grab a picture of it. So odd.

And this weekend, I saw her do the fish face for the first time. WOW!
