When will she roll over?
I keep trying. She is so close. This morning, she popped her bottom off the changing table pad and arched her back. She knows all the motions and is quite strong. For some reason, she just hasn’t put all the pieces together. Tonight, when Paul and Emily were here, we watched her go half way from both back to front, but she isn’t quite there. Hmmm. But she sits up like a champ!
New car seat for Reagan
I bought her a convertible car seat today. It seems HUGE compared to her other one. I’ll be sad to see the pumpkin seat go – it does make it really easy to carry her when she is sleeping, but oh well. That is the price you must pay as kids get bigger.
Busy day
We had a really busy day today. We went from the airport to breakfast. Then off to the landscaping company to see what the drawings look like for our patio. We finally got home (after leaving about 830am) at 230pm. Wow what a day. Reagan took two really good naps while we were out which was nice. So when we got home, she played in her jumper – to exercise those legs of hers – and just relaxed.
Jordan's big trip
Well Jim is a nervous guy this morning. We are taking Jordan to fly for the first time alone. She and my parents are flying down to Mobile to visit for a few days, but Jordan is flying out of Cincinnati (not with my parents). We couldn’t get her a flight with them, so the first leg of the trip she is an “unaccompanied minor”.

Relaxing day
We all had a relaxing morning today. We just hung out and let Reagan nap. About 1230 pm, we piled in the car to drop Jordan off at her last day of Musical Theater camp.
Jordan's play
Tonight, everybody went over to NKU to watch the finale play for Jordan’s camp. It was adorable. Each group did very well. Jordan’s group seemed shy, but Jordan did great. You could tell she practiced! She even had two solos in the songs.

Quiet time for Momma
Quiet. I almost didn’t know what to do with it. So I made phone calls. I walked alone through the neighborhood and called my friends and family to keep myself occupied. How amazing – I am so used to having something to do on my walks now, that I can’t walk alone. I’ll have to try it again.
Jordan needed clothes
Jordan and I went out shopping again for some summer clothes. She really needed them. Apparently she loves Turquoise. One of my favorite colors as well. Everything she picked out (except one shirt that I threw on the pile) was turquoise. Wow.
No nap day
She decided today that she didn’t need anything but cat naps. Ugh!
She only had three twenty minute naps all day and I was so drained by the end of the day. I really enjoy that mid morning nap. If I’m tired enough, I take one too. But today, there was no rest for the weary!

Exersaucer fun
Today I watched Reagan stand up in her Exersaucer and grab everything. She has been able to lean and grab stuff. But today, I saw her stand up and purposely grab the one bug that she’s never been able to grab. It seemed to be her favorite for a long time. Every time I would grab the bug and pull it, it would make a certain noise that she always giggles with. I had always pulled it for her because it was so much fun. But now, I don’t have to.

Uncle Eric
What a great surprise. I got to see my brother fresh off the campaign trail tonight for dinner. He was campaigning in the northern part of his district and drove over here for a quick bite before he went home for the night. It was great to see him.
Interview and Babysitter
Today was Reagan’s first time with the sitter alone. I dropped her off around 9am. I hung out for a few minutes to get her settled, but was soon on my way. She slept great for Lynn (about 90 minutes) and didn’t cry at all. She didn’t eat, but that doesn’t really surprise me. She will eventually when she figures out (after I start working) that she’ll be really hungry waiting for me at night if she doesn’t. I’m not worried though. Lynn will be great for her.
She slept
All night. Thank goodness. She did stir a few times, but I was able to pop the pacifier in her mouth and she went back to sleep.

Karate class
Throwing Stars for two hours. How cool is that!? Our class tonight was not a sweaty one. We got to practice throwing “Stars” on a board all night.
Sydney's Knee - what's wrong baby
It seems that our precious little furry girl has some issues with her knees. She has been limping quite a bit this morning and Jim asked me to take her to the vet. So I did. She seems to be having trouble in both knees and needs to be evaluated for a more serious problem. I decided to take the more conservative route and just get some anti-inflammatory for her, but suspect we’ll be back there for more testing soon.
Sleep all night
Tuesday was a good day. Reagan slept most the night and woke up quite happy. We played in the morning and both took a mid-morning nap. I just needed to catch up on sleep. (I can't wait until her sleeping isn't such a big deal.) After that we ate and got ready to go get Jordan.

Family walk
We took a walk today with the dogs. Jim took them and I took care of Reagan in the stroller. I have figured out she loves to be outside. Everyone keeps telling me that, but she really does enjoy the scenery it seems. She also enjoys breezes on her face and body. I noticed every time we’d get a good breeze, she smile and roll her feet. While we were hanging out at the pond, watching the dogs swim, Sydney came up and walked around Reagan’s stroller and tipped it over. I freaked… but she was totally fine – thanks to the five-point harness system in that thing.
NKU
I went to pick up Jordan from her Musical Theatre camp today and boy has NKU changed. It is humongous!! The campus has really turned out to be quite pretty and it now seems more like a “real” university. When I went to school there, it was known as the concrete jungle among other things. Now, there are a lot of “green” areas – with water and walkways. They have really done a nice job with the school.
Sleep again
Reagan did much better last night. She didn’t sleep through the night, but as soon as she started whimpering, I was in her room and was able to get the pacifier back in her mouth. She never really woke up 100%. I slept both in her room on the floor and on the couch upstairs. It is just much easier to get to her at night – especially when I’m exhausted to begin with. She did really well.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father’s Day Jim and Dad.
We had a nice time with Grammy and Grampy. We celebrated Father’s Day over brunch and hung out opening gifts afterwards. All of us were pretty tired. Jim took a nap. After my parents left, I slept on the floor of Reagan’s room. And apparently, G&G went home to sleep too. Guess it was just one of those days.

Up all night
While I do think Reagan is much happier sleeping unswaddled, I think she is having to relearn how to sleep. She no longer has something keeping her hands restrained. Last night she was up three different times which really wore on me. She seemed to go back down fairly easily, but ate each time.
