Sitting up and Stretching
I think tonight at dinner was the first time I saw her stretch sitting up. Usually I see her stretch while she is laying down – just waking up. But tonight, she put her two little arms up besides her and slightly arched her back and then put her arms back down again. It was just too cute.

First Cold
Her first cold :( Reagan woke up this morning about 4am and couldn’t get back to sleep until about 6am. It was a tad rough, but not as bad as getting up at 130 and staying up til 5am. She woke up with a sniffly nose and coughing some. She was fine if I cuddled her in my arms, but not if I laid her down. Today, she ended up napping very well. I’m guessing because she was worn out. Despite the cold, she and I had a great day. She was pretty mellow all day which meant I was pretty relaxed. She didn’t want to be active in play too much, she wanted to just hang out a lot. It’s so odd for her to be that way – that’s how I knew she was not feeling well.

Major Poop Award
Ok. I’ve had some interesting diaper changes with her, but today takes the cake. She actually pooped through and over her diaper. I put her on the changing table to change her and realized it was just everywhere. It was on her legs, on her stomach, on her hands. Oh My Gosh. She got a bath. ICK!!!!!!!!! I can still hear Jim laughing his butt off ten hours later. I’m impressed.
CIO? Not yet.
Today was an interesting day. I am still working on getting Reagan to take a good nap. I’ve heard all kinds of advice, but the one I hear over and over again is “let her cry”. ARGH! I am just like every other new mom out there – I don’t want to. It’s just so hard. We’ll see. I’m getting there… just not yet.
She did do something pretty cool today. She was napping and woke up crying. So I went into her room and after a few minutes, I picked her up. I sat down in the rocker and put her pacifier back in her mouth. As soon as I did that, she promptly reached up and took the pacifier out of her mouth and looked at me like – Ha ha!!. OMG – when the heck did she figure out how to do that. Wow!

I don't want that!
This morning I started working a little harder on getting Reagan to sleep in her bed. After my third trip upstairs to soothe her, I picked her up to rock her. Right after I put the pacifier in her mouth, she promptly put her little hand on it and yanked it out. OMG. When did she learn to do that!

Two funny things
One funny thing happened today. Reagan started fussing and I walked into the kitchen to get a bottle ready. As soon as she saw the bottle (not full), she started saying “ooo ooo ooo” and reaching for the bottle. It was hilarious. I guess she is finally associating being fed with seeing the bottle. That is the first time she’s done that. :)
Can we say – giving the bird? Nice huh? Jim recorded Reagan flipping him off while eating tonight.

Schedules
After a weekend of not keeping up with Reagan's naps, I decided it would be best if we stayed close to home today. She tends to do better on the schedule than off plus I’m trying to get Reagan to sleep in her crib without being swaddled. Talk about trying to do too much at once. I figured I better start now and deal with the lack of sleep than wait until I have a job. That would kill me to have no sleep and to start a new job at the same time. So I think I’ll be dealing with a grumpy baby and no sleep.
