Ok. This is totally gross, so don't read any further if you have a weak stomach.
I picked my little bundle of joy up today at LRS before 5pm. As soon as she saw me, she started saying "ma ma ma mama" and waving her arms. She even tried to crawl towards me. Ok that's not the gross part.
Ms. Megan told me that she did have her afternoon nap, so I figured she would be taking one and Jim and I could workout. I scooted out the door and made our way home to our wonderful home where I knew two lovable doggies would be waiting for me to let them outside to pee and play. Again, not the gross part. It's coming. :)
When I walked through the door, I was smacked in the face with the smell of DOG POOP. Oh no...
Carson, our big lovey boy, had pooped all over his crate and also thrown up. Nice. It was everywhere. There I was, holding Reagan and trying not to vomit from the stench of poop! Let me tell you how absolutely grossed out I was and how hard it was to keep myself from puking all over.
I called Jim to say "umm what do I do" and figured I didn't have much choice. I put Reagan in front of the TV and changed my clothes to get ready to dive into the crate and clean it. First I had to get Carson out and not Sydney and then figure out how to keep Sydney from peeing in the house. I lined the floors with blankets and towels to keep the poop off the floor and opened the front door then his crate. He took off and immediately tried to poop again. Geeeeez.
The next task was to clean out the crate. Ugh. Ugh. Ick. Vomit! I put a mask on my face, grabbed the paper towels and a bag and dove in - literally. This crate is big enough that in order for me to clean the back of it, I must get in up to my backside (if I'm on all fours). Yea - can I tell you how much fun that is and was. I of course started at the front and moved my way to the back. As I went farther back, the poop got bigger and the stench got stronger. I think I threw up at least once in my mouth.
When I was done, I cleaned up, changed my clothes and burned everything! Just kidding. I did change my clothes though. :) Oh yea and I let Jim wash the dog. He he!

Flip top head
Ok, now here's the weird thing about eating now. She's always been one to need a variety in her dining experience. She needs to have something different about every 5-6 bites. Ok. I can manage that. Well now she's chewing on stuff like puffs and crackers. So now I have to incorporate that too. She needs time not only to splash around on her tray, but also to feed herself. Oh and don't forget, she loves to drink through a straw now. Geez. It's all so complicated isn't it? Well tonight we were eating at the table and she started moving her jaw up and down like she was eating. The really weird thing is that she was moving it more like a "flip top head". She tucked her head into her chest and moved the top part of her jaw, not the lower. Very odd. She is so happy doing it. Odd stuff kids do huh?
Just some fun stuff
Tonight, I picked Reagan up from school while she was napping. I hate it when I interupt her nap, but at the same time, I am so excited to see her that I don't care. I watched her for a while but eventually Ms. Amy came over and woke her up. Reagan looked up all blinky-eyed and took about 10 seconds to realize I was standing there. She got very wide-eyed and started saying "ma ma ma ma ma ma" and waving her hands like crazy. I think she was happy to see me.
We went home and hung out on the floor. It's really funny to watch her now as she tries to move around. I am now strategically putting her toys just far enough away that she has to figure out how to get to them. Tonight, she moved. Slowly. But she moved. She would go over onto all fours from a seated position and then reeeaacch out to try to grab it. Then she's lay down and pull up to sitting. Each time she'd do that she would get just a tad closer to her toy. After a few times, she would just go to her belly and then roll the rest of the way to grab it. How creative!
After she got to her rings, she spent a lot of time banging them together on her back and also trying to put the biggest one over her feet and then back off again. She's weird. :)

Pulling up
She's doing it - pulling up. I love it! She reaches someting and figures out how to get up. Tonight Grampy was holding her on his lap and she grabbed his shirt and just pulled straight up. I'm not really sure he knew what to do. He was so excited.

New things
She is now starting to get very upset when you take things away from her if she’s playing with it. There are a few things that she can not stand to have taken away from her - my cell phone, the house phone, the TV remote. Does anyone see a trend here? It's bad enough that she gets those BIG CROCODILE TEARS going!
Her snuggly is also becoming a friend. When she gets tired, she pulls it up over her head and leaves it there. At night, when I put her down, she has her blanky and the snuggly of the night. She pulls it up over her head and drops her hands out to the side (as a double bicep flex). My little Hercules.

Into the evening
As soon as I got home, I had to hand my little angel off to Jim to attend a 5pm Conference Call and then I had to get to the chiropractor by 615pm. As soon as I got back from all of that, we bundled the kids up and took off to have dinner with Paul, Emily and Sean at Margaritas.
Reagan did much better this time with eating out. Some nights it is more work, but tonight she seemed more relaxed about it all. She even ate spinach. Whenever we eat with them, Jordan absolutely must sit next to Emily. It's cute how she feels that attachment to her and Emily seems to enjoy it.
I figured out that Reagan loves to drink ice water. She also loves to dig her hand into the ice cold water and pull out the ice and try to eat it. :) wweeeee! That was a fun learning.
The best part of dinner was little Sean and his noises (and then Reagan joining in). Reagan does her own noises - she cooes, she yells, she does all sorts of stuff. But Sean did this thing that about made me pee in my pants. Paul put his finger in between his lips and moved it up and down (I'm sure you know what I am talking about). As soon as he started doing that, Sean started making a single tone out which made the indian nose. And it wasn't quiet at all. Apparently he can do this on his own as well. Jim was holding Reagan at the time and thought - let's try it with her. She had done it on her own, but he wondered what she'd do. So it was the two of them. Bababababbbababbabba. Oh My Gosh! It was something that you'd see on Funniest Home Videos and it would win. They were loud and both dads didn't stop. Wow! I cried and snorted as I watched our kids play.

Coughing baby
Well I just got a phone call from LRS that said "she's coughed so much this morning so far that she's thrown up twice, but don't worry...".
How do I not worry? Amy said that she was fine keeping her since she wasn't sick, but just wanted me to know. My poor thing.
