Zach's Birthday party and skating

We had a big day and way too much to capture. But, we went to Zach's 10th birthday party at the skating rink. I was totally psyched because I was able to skate for the first time in almost two years. Woo hooo. Believe it or not, my parents got up on skates too. My dad ended up having a pretty bad fall though - he busted up his wrist. He's ok I think. I'll find out soon I'm sure.

Reagan is getting more attached to mom and dad. She was sitting in her stroller at the rink and mom and dad walked by and didn't pay too much attention to her. They said hi, but didn't pick her up or anything else. She did NOT like that at all and proceeded to yell out to them. Mom came back and said "is that because we didn't pick her up". I just looked at her and smiled.

Oh yea and Reagan broke mom's camera. Oooops.

On the drive home, Reagan played peek-a-boo with her snuggly and me. She'd pull the snuggly up over her face and then pull it down when I'd say "peek-a-boo".

When we got home, we had a neighborhood party to go to. We were able to get Lauren to watch Reagan while we hung out with the neighbors some.

Reagan is 9 months old

She's nine months and I can't believe it. My little girl is getting so big!

Good morning sleepy head

Ok. She woke up at 5am and needed a bottle. Ugh. So I drug myself out of bed and went upstairs to feed her. And of course she won't go back to sleep for me. She wanted to play. I tried hard to just rock her back down but she wanted to be up. Hmmm. After an hour, I just took her to the couch and laid down not giving her much of a choice. She cried for about 15 minutes on and off (more a protest) before going back to sleep. It wasn't great sleep for me, but it was better than nothing.

Just hangin'

Tonight, we just hung out at home. My dad came over to see Reagan. He loves taking her outside to sit on the porch. She is crawling much more, but still seems to be crossing her legs some. That makes it a little harder to go real far real fast, but hasn't slowed her down too much. She is definetly getting more mobile.

Crawling

I love watching her crawl. She is learning to uncross her legs some, but still having a hard time with it. I am sure it won't take her long to figure it out. The other neat thing is now she wants to be "down" much more. She likes being held when she is tired and snuggly, but wants to explore other times during the day. Anytime we put her in the walker, she blazes through the house and chases the dogs down. It's really funny.

I want Grampy

My Dad and Mom have been coming over a little more often since they are getting close to moving into the house down the street. Tonight, my Dad popped by around 7pm to visit for a little while. As soon as Reagan saw him, she waved and babbled and tried to get to him. She wanted Grampy. It was just so cute... and I think my Dad loves it. :)

Officially Crawling

Today was the day. She'd been working on mobility for a few weeks, but today was it.

She started crawling. Jim had called me earlier this morning while I was at work to say she had moved her back legs. By the time I go to LRS today to pick her up, she was fully mobile. Wow!

When we got home from school, I plopped her on the floor and put Jim's cell phone on the floor far enough away that she had to crawl to get it. And she did!

I'll put the video up tonight. :)

I'm a proud mamma!!!!!
