Squats and Walking?

Tonight I watched Reagan get up and down much easier than I had seen before. Jim said "oh yea, she does squats now, just watch." She was hanging onto the coffee table in the squat position. Over the course of the evening, I watched her get up and down many times like that. Wow.

And since she was cruising sooo well, Jim got out her standup walker (not the one she's had for a while). He put her in front of it to hold on and of course it moved since we unlocked the wheels. She leaned forward with it and would finally kneel down. Thank goodness she did that and didn't do a face plant. So now she's off and going on that toy too. Uh oh! I think Jim and I are in a lot of trouble.

Cruising maniac

She is off folks. She is cruising on everything that may possible look like she can grab onto it. I plopped her down in the dining room (or the doggie room) after our stroll this evening and she got up on the crates and walked around them. Then she took off into the foyer and into the hallway. When she got to the closet door (and no obvious place to grab onto) she fussed some and finally sat down.

I coaxed her into the kitchen so I could get dinner going and she was off and cruising again. She grababed onto Sydney's mane and pulled herself up and took off. I'm not really sure how Sydney felt about it, but I thought it was funny. She got to a cabinet door that wasn't as friendly as the others. It swung open and she fell down pretty quickly. It freaked her out and made her cry. But I picked her up and she was fine. It's just amazing how fast they can go!!

A walk in nature

Tonight, Reagan and I took our first "stroll" since I saw the doctor about my ankle (achilles). It was way too nice outside to sit inside with her and really didn't care if I was sore later. We had a great time looking at all the fall leaves and the passing cars. She even waved to a woman that was walking by us. I snapped a few pictures while we were out.

Daily Pics may be done

Well, my attempt to capture Reagan's first year by pictures may be stopped. She is completely unwilling to sit, stand or lay still long enough for me to snap a shot of her cute little mug. She is apparently way to busy and has more important things to do with her time than to amuse me. :) LOL.

Anyway, I am attempting to keep getting some face and full length shots even if they aren't on the same couch anymore. BOohooo.

Oh well. It least she is ready to go go go!

She finally did it - gross

About 6:45 am, Jim called me from the baby’s room. He wanted me to come upstairs. Reagan had finally done it – she pooped up her back and out of her diaper and clothes and onto her bed. She had woken up crying and Jim was in the process of cleaning her up. We wiped her off and I picked her up in a blanket to wait for Jim to get her bath together. Yes, it was that gross. Needless to say, everything she touched was wrapped up and shoved in the washer before Jordan and I took off for school. Poor thing.

I can sit down

Well Reagan learns fast! Just last Thursday, I showed up at LRS to see Reagan standing at the gate in the doorway with big crocodile tears on her face. She apparently had gotten up and was stuck. Amy showed up to pull her down and said she'd been doing it all day - pulling up, getting stuck and then crying. LOL.

I tried to show her how to sit down a few times over the weekend. Today, she sat down on her own. Yea Reagan

Weekend with the Carmans

Well, this weekend went way too fast for me. At least it was somewhat relaxing. Jim took baby duty on Friday night which meant I got to sleep in on Saturday. I woke up at 9:00 am on Saturday and helped him get the girls out the door to Jordan's soccer game. After they left, I was able to relax and eventually go back to sleep.

While I was pregnant, I had invested in an eye mask and ear plugs to help me sleep during the day (just in case). I found them and put them to good use yesterday. I slept until they got home - about noon.

After the baby's nap, we took off and ran a bunch of errands, came home and relaxed. My parent came over for about an hour to see the kids and then left. That was probably the shortest visit we had gotten from them in a while.

Last night, it was my turn to get up with Reagan. I fell sleep early and woke up twice with her. She was able to go back down fairly quickly. WHen she woke up at 6:00, I gave in and just put her on my chest on the couch. We skipped church (again) and just chilled out. Not much going on.

The neat thing about Reagan this weekend is that she is able to cruise much easier now. She's able to connect places together much easier.
