Ugh, I was sick all day today. I stayed in bed all day except to vote. Jim drove me up to the polling place and the "crowd" let me sit in the car until it was my turn. Thank goodness. I don't think I could have stood in line to vote.

Click and smack
Now she clicks her tongue and smacks her lips. She started doing this some last week, but she is doing it much more often now. She doesn't do her open mouth kiss any more, she will actually make the "smack" sound (by putting her lips together and pulling them apart - with suction). So she's learning that. The clicking thing is so cute. She'll be playing with a toy and just start doing it. She'll look over every once in a while just to make sure you are noticing it. Of course I am.

Peek-a-boo
Today was the first time I saw Reagan start a game of peek-a-boo with anyone. I was sitting on the couch watching her play with Jim during the Bengals game today. She was sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table around the corner from Jim. She was doing what I thought was squats. What she was really doing is playing peek-a-boo with JIm. She was squatting down and waiting for Jim to say "Where's Reagan?". As soon as he did, she'd jump up and squeal with delight. She laughed so hard one time she fell on her butt, but that did not deter her from playing with Jim.
She started the process all over again, but this time she would peek around the corner of the coffee table at him and wait for him to spy her and start all over again.

Little Ms. Daredevil
Ok. Now, I have to say, my daughter has absolutely no fear. Last night, I put her in her walker for a bit and she does what she always does - goes crazy fast around the house. Since her little legs have figured out how to operate the walker on the rugs, she has developed much more power on the hard wood floor.
So last night, I called for her. I was standing in the kitchen and all I heard was the sound of her little plastic tires hitting the wood flooring. All of a sudden, she came peeling around the corner and slammed (yes, slammed) her walker into the leg of our kitchen table.
She sat dazed for a second, "shook it off" and just kept going.

Happy Halloweenie!

Well Little Ms. Reagan was all "halloweenie" again today. She had on her orange and white cat shirt to celebrate the day. The best part about a baby's first holidays is that they really don't care and have no idea what is going on. That just means you can dress them up as silly as you want for pure self-enjoyment. And of course I did.
So with that in mind, tonight Reagan will wear a penguin costume. I was hoping for a cow costume, but could not justify spending more than $10.00 on something that she would not wear more than once. And since I found a penguin for just under $10 before tax, that's what she is going to be. We'll see how long it actually stays on.

She's crazy and into everything
I think Reagan has no fear. She is so mobile now and is also taking so many chances that I have a hard time keeping up with her. One second she’s crawling around the living room – the next second she’s in the kitchen hanging off one of the chairs! I now have to peel her little fingers off of something because she is so darn determined to do what she wants to do.
Of course, I put her in the walker thinking that I can get something done because she’s somewhat contained. Ha ha! She’s motoring around the house so fast that she doesn’t worry about what she’s running into – walls, chairs, dogs (yes dogs). I think she sees a bulls-eye on the dogs at times.
Oh and the bathroom is just a really bad place for her to be. I have no locks on anything which means if I don’t have enough toys in there with her she gets into whatever she can open and crawl to (which is everything). I let her play with a battery operated back massage thingy which surprisingly enough keeps her attention if she turns it on. She puts it on her leg, on the wall and anywhere she can get it to make a noise. She stuck it on the shower door and just started giggling. It made such a loud noise that it startled me a little – I just didn’t know what she was doing.
And yes, she now knows what No means. She just grins at you and keeps going. She knows… hmmm

Halloween shirt a hit
Well, Reagan's Halloween shirt was a hit today at LRS. Not only did the parents enjoy her shirt, so did all the babies in her room. A co-worker on my project called me last Friday and said she had found the most adorable Halloween shirt and wanted to get it for me. I said "sure" but had no idea what it would really look like.
She said it was bright orange and had a ghost on the front of it that lights up with noise. When she brought it in on Monday, I absolutely loved it. It's kinda funny actually. If you touch it or talk near it, the lights go crazy.
So today I put her in this top and a pair of black pants. She was all "halloweenie". Apparently there was a boy (Aiden) in her class that like it just as much as she did. Amy said that Aiden would crawl over to her and start playing with her shirt - patting it and playing with Reagan. At some point, Reagan would get irritated with the whole thing and start pulling his hair and "defending" her shirt.
I would guess she was doing it more because she was sick of the boy messing with her (yea Reagan) than messing with the shirt. Amy said she finally had to cover her shirt by putting a bib on her (which she had on her when I got there). That way, Aiden stopped bothering her.
So tonight, I tried messing with her shirt. It didn't really bother her at all - she joined me in the fun. We patted her belly over and over again. She did stop playing eventually, but only to crawl into my lap. Awwwww.
