Reagan's first haircut

Sniff sniff, my little girl is getting older, or at least her hair is getting longer. I've tried for several weeks now to put her hair up in a ponytail. I personally think it's cute that way, but she doesn't usually go for it. Most the time I can't even get it in because she's so strong and completely against me messing with her hair. If I actually get it done, she tries her best to yank it out.

So today, the wrestling match is officially over. We took her to see Marty and got it done. She did very well I thought. She was quiet and watched Marty like a hawk. He heee. I got pictures of course and saved some hair.

Achilles update

Wow - today was great! I saw the doctor for the first time in a month and he released all restrictions. I'm so happy. He said I could do whatever I wanted except running (no biggie) and no kicking anything. He said I could do karate but "just don't kick anything". No problemo!

The interesting thing is that he did say that it will take me one full year to totally recover. He let me know that all the pain and discomfort I was having was totally normal and that it would fade over the course of a year. Oh well, but I don't care. I can now run after Reagan without being totally paranoid.

I'm so excited. Thanks for all the prayers - keep them up. I'm still in recovery.

Nutty girl

Tonight, Jim and I went to Remke's on the way home from picking Reagan up to find something for dinner. Soon after we got into the store, Reagan voiced the need to get down and run around. Ha! So I let her down. Yea I did. :) It was hilarious. She was so happy to be walking around and not constrained in the basket. She stomped and cheered all around the store. Every once in a while, she'd try to run but wouldn't get very far. Of course, when one of us caught her in mid-run, she'd scream with laughter. I think she wanted to get caught.

At one point, Jim let her run through the frozen food area and the dairy area. I'd look up every once in a while and only see her little head bobbing up and down the isle. The only noise was her just giggling - so happy.

The bad thing was when we got her from LRS, she was in a mis-matched outfit. She had gotten so much chocolate from the Easter party on her top that they changed her into another top. The top and bottom no longer matched. So we had a crazy girl, covered in chocolate running through the isles at Remke's. Awesome!

Out for dinner

Tonight we all went to Carabas for dinner to celebreate my dinner again. It was nice. I left work and got home just in time to get an icepack on my foot and turn around. We met Dad and Mom at the restaurant and were able to get seated pretty quick. It was a nice dinner of course. I love the food there. After we got home, I think I was ready to pass out.

My Birthday

I have to say I enjoyed my birthday. Unfortunately, I had to work ;), but the evening was nice. I had gotten all my private lessons for Pilates out of the way and was signed up for the Wednesday night class with Cmo. I was excited. It was really nice to go to class and do something for just me on my birthday. Selfish yes, but I deserved it.

When I got home, Jim had dinner all done and had even gotten me a birthday gift! Wow. He and Jordan had worked pretty hard to get everything together for me. It was obvious. My parents even came up for a birthday cake (ice cream of course). :)

Temper tantrum from hell

Um, yea. She's officially two - right?

Jim and I have had to hold Reagan down lately when giving her medicine. She used to like it, but the past several days she's made it a wrestling match. This morning was no exception. When we were done, she threw a fit that would make anyone stop and watch. It was AMA-A-AZING!!!! Oh My GOSH! She screamed and screamed and screamed and screamed and cried and screamed some more. Then she did it all over again. It got so bad that Jim and I just couldn't stop laughing becuase it was so bad.

I did finally got her to calm down. But once we started towards the car to go to LRS, she started up again. Wow! Terrible twos - ha! Try terrible ONES!

Out for Sushi

Jim took me out for sushi tonight for my birthday. Yes, it's a day early, but it was an easy day for us to go. I was pleasantly surprised that Jim was so easy about going... and we even got Paul and Emily to go (they even got a baby sitter). Woo hoo.
We had a really nice time. It was a nice break for me - no food thrown at the dinner table, no bribing anyone to eat - just adult conversation and food. :) Ahhhhh.

And get this - even Jim ate half a piece of salmon. :)
