Today we took Reagan to Children's Hospital to see an Ear Specialist. She's had so much troulbe getting over her infections that we were told to seek some more taylored care for her. Our doctor mentioned tubes a while back - that scared me. But I've spoken to so many mothers that I am more settled that it might work for Reagan.
We got there and OH MY GOSH that place is HUGE! I just couldn't believe how large the campus was. Jim and I drove separate, so I was able to get there a tad early to get Reagan registered. We first had to do a hearing test. Reagan did really well. The nurses were awesome. The room was a sound booth with a couple monitors and some other things. They gave her a few tests to get used to following the sounds and then started the test. She did ok. I could tell she wasn't responding to everything correctly, but that's why they do the test.
Next we saw the doctor. He was really good with her. He reviewed her history and then looked in her ears. Both ears were raging red and full of fluid - he was amazed at how well she did. Her demeanor suggests she feels fine, but based on her ears, she should be really uncomfortable and in a ton of pain. That just means she has a high tolerance for pain. Great for later in life - bad now because we don't know when she doesn't really feel well. Ugh.
Oh well. So now she's on her fourth round of antibiotics and a steroid. They are going to try a steroid to see if she might be having allergy trouble. If so, they would have to puther on an allergy regimen or do tubes. But either way, I think she'll end up with tubes. Oh well! I just want her to feel better!!!

Max and Erma's Charity event
Tonight we went out to dinner for a charity - Cinderella's Closet - at Max and Ermas. Dinner time is usually a wrestling match with Reagan because she hasn't quite developed her table manners yet, so I don't always look forward to dinner out. Oh, and when we go out to eat, she usually eats the crayons for her appetizer. Tonight was no exception. After tonight, I have definetly figured out that she does not need her own meal. Jim and I have been getting her a kid's meal, but she almost never eats it. She actually did pretty well. She is such a social kid - she says hi and bye to everyone… literally. By the time we got home, we had to throw her in the bath and get her into bed. I hate nights like that because I just don't feel that I get to spend quality time with her. Oh well. Life happens.

Sunday Sunday Sunday
We had a nice day today. Aside from the daily dose of sass and disrespect from the oldest, we had a good day. We got to church for the third week in a row - yipee - and we even went out to lunch with Mom and Dad. I was able to do a quick workout while Reagan was taking her nap. Jim's Dad came to visit for a bit and we even got to Children's place to get Jordan some new clothes. Wow! What a day!

Clothes shopping
Today, I took mom and Reagan to The Children's Place. It was the first time that I actually tried clothes on Reagan at the store - all of them. I'm really glad that I did because she's a tad bigger than I thought. I ended up buying shorts that were 4T for her legs and "sit upon". I just can't believe that she's grown that much. But I guess that's what happens when you have a tall kid with some thigh power! Wow! I guess she's got some "junk in the trunk". :0
Just hangin'
Today was a really nice, easy Saturday. The sun was out. It was really warm and we all got to put on our shorts! Woo hooo. My brother's kids were up for the day, so we planned on spending the day with them. After Jim took off with Jordan for swimming, Reagan and I went down to my parents to visit and play.
After a bit, we decided it was the best to go to our park. That was the best idea - the kids had a blast. We've got a pretty nice park - it's got a spongy flooring and tons of stuff to climb on. The boys play great with Reagan. She's starting to recognize them more since she's gotten older. She loves all of them. Daniel and Zach was really cute with her. Daniel played with her and followed her around the house. At the park, Zach acted like a big brother and made sure she was ok. It was awesome.

So talkative
Reagan is learning her colors. She can now say purple and blue pretty well. But she can recognize and point to green, blue, purple and pink. Sometimes she gets yellow. How cool is that? Oh and she is starting her letters too he heee. A and P are the easiest right now. We'll see. She's only done it a couple times so it could be a fluke.
Reagan's first tumbling adventure
We decided that we wanted to take Reagan over to Silverlake to try out their open tumbling class. I wasn't really sure what to expect when we got there, but it wasn't a big deal at all. It wasn't a class, it was a free-for-all. Parents and kids got to walk around and play on all the stuff.
Reagan LOVED the jumpy things. She spent a lot of time watching one little girl do some tumbling - she was mesmerized by her. She crawled, walked and played and generally had a good time.
I am not sure we'll do that every week, but we'll definetly do it every once in a while.
