Our dryer finally broke

Our clothing dryer broke.
Today we spent WAY too much money on a brand new set.
I get to do my laundry on Saturday. Hooray!

Bath time in the big tub

The last few nights we've given Reagan a bath in our tub. She had such a strong (bad) reaction to her tub after she puked that we thought a change in venue might work. It did. She LOVES it. She actually flipped over a few times and did some belly rolls. It was cute. She flopped over and scooted forward on her belly. Then she did some kicking and dunking her face in the water. I thin she's ready for the pool this summer. :)

I missed Mommy

Tonight, Jim and the gang picked me up downtown on the way to the wake for Mema. Today was the first day that my mom and/or dad picked Reagan up after school by themselves. I had a hard time with it. Ugh!

I didn't worry about it but I missed doing it myself. We got home about 9:00 pm. When I walked through the door, I heard "mommy's home" from my parents. I walked down the hallway and all I could see was my little girl running towards me giggling with glee that I was home.

What an awesome feeling - she missed me!

Temper tantrum at 5am!

Today was a really long day. Reagan got up at 4:30 am (nice). I gave her a bottle and hoped that she would go back to sleep. Nope. She was up and had absolutely no interest in going back to sleep. (nice again). So I held her for a bit thinking that I could "rock her down". Nope again again. She decided after about 30 minutes of this that she needed to throw a temper tantrum. At this time it was about 5:15 am. (ugh). So in the middle of her temper tantrum, I laid her down on the floor to let her "cry it out". She did for a bit and then got up and ran across the room (arms folder in full pout mode) and stood next to the window and screamed. (ugh again). All I could do is watch her. Wow! I was honestly amazed that I was watching a tantrum during the 5 am hour! So thirty minutes after that, I gave up. I had to get ready for work. So I laid her in bed (which didn't last long at all) and came downstairs. I quickly announced to Jim that he was "up" and I was getting ready for work. (ugh and nice all together).

No bath for you

Reagan will NOT take a bath in her bathtub at all. She willingly goes upstairs to "take a bath", but once she gets into the bathroom she starts throwing a fit. She screams and refuses to get into the tub. It's awful.

Tonight, my parents were over helping out and they took Reagan upstairs for her bath while I milled around and did some other things. All I could her was a gosh-awful scream from the bathroom and flailing about. It wasn't happening. Ugh.
I got upstairs and she was in a full blown temper tantrum.

This is the second night in a row that she's done this. The only thing I could think of was it might be because she doesn't have a bathmat anymore (since the puking incident). I'll get her a new one and see if it will help.

I can read to myself

Lately, Reagan has started this thing of reading to herself on a blanket, or anything soft near her. She'll grab a book and throw herself down on a snuggly or pillow and start talking. It's just so darn cute.

New thing

Last night, for the first time, Reagan said and did the sign language for "eat"! Holy cow.
