90 minutes of hell

Yep - a 90-minute temper tantrum. And it wasn't Reagan!

A new routine

Well, we've gone a whole week now without a bottle and she seems to be adjusting well. The first few nights she went to sleep fairly easily, but the last several nights she is fighting the whole "bed" thing. Tonight, I held her as long as I could. I must have sang 10 songs to her and finally decided she'd just have to figure it out.

She did scream a bit, but by the time I got to the bottom of the stairs, she was silent. :)

Is she too young for Bugs?

Ok, I got the Looney Toons "Best of" series on DVD for the girls. (Well, I actually got it for me because I LOVE BUGS). Anyway, Reagan has actually started to laugh at these cartoons. It's all the old bugs bunny cartoons with bugs, daffy, gossimer and all the other characters. It's hilarious to watch her. But isn't she too young to get when to laugh? Maybe not, but she does.

She sometimes laughs at stuff when I don't - I often hold back to see if she reacts to stuff. It's just so amazing watching her learn and do things.

When do kids develop humor?

Corn on the cob

Apparently it's an intuitive thing - to eat corn on the cob. She picked it up and started nibbling on the ear. Jordan did have to show her how to hold it, but other than that, she did great!

I can get dressed like a big girl

This morning I was getting Reagan dressed in my closet and thought I'd try something different. I normally pick her up and sit her on my lap to get all her stuff on. This morning, I put the shorts on the floor to see if she'd step into them (like older kids and adults do) and she did. She looked at me, grabbed on and put her right foot in then her left foot. WOW!

Watch your mouth folks

This morning I was getting ready for work (changing clothes) and Reagan came up behind me and started smacking my butt. She was doing it over and over again and just getting a huge kick out of it. I eventually turned around and said "hey quit hitting my butt!".

She immediately said "BUTT" in return.

Hmmm

She said Ketchup

After Jordan's performance tonight, Jim's mom and her family joined us out to celebrate. Reagan was playing in her food as usual and she looked up at the ketchup bottle and said "ketchu". She said it over and over again until she got it. Wow!

The other cool word of the day was "sit". She'd point down at the chair and say "sit!" and look at you like, SIT DOWN DUDE!
