Rash that won't go away

Today we decided that it was time to get Reagan back to the doctor. We've been watching her rash grow and get worse and last night we saw bruising again under her arm. The bruising started under her arm and has spread out and around her ribs. It's scary looking (well at least to me).

So Jim took her at 3pm and the doctor really wasn't sure what it was and sent him off to Children's for a CBC. Nice. I, of course, was at a work outing, not thinking this visit would be that big of a deal. He called and said the doctor was checking her platelette counts and also her liver funtions to make sure she was ok.

That was a very scary couple of hours - waiting from 4pm until 530pm when the doctor called. The good news for now is that all the tests came back just fine. Her counts were normal and her liver was functioning fine too. Whew.

So now we just have to wait for the rash go away. If it doesn't fade in the next couple of weeks, we have to take her to a specialist. So say a few prayers that her rash is just something viral!

Chair mamma

Reagan is putting words together to make sentences. They are very basic and backwards, but she is still doing it.

She's been doing little things like grabbing our clothes and dragging us to another room while saying "come on" through her pacifier. Tonight, Jim was sitting in the rocking chair getting ready to read some books before bed. She didn't want to sit on her lap. She pulled on his shirt and said "up". So he got up. He then asked, "what do you want Reagan?"

She pointed at the chair and said "chair mamma" while shaking her head.

Jim and I were astounded - She made a sentence!! Holy COW!!

Working from home

Today I worked from home. Between PT that lasts for about 2 hours and Jim being on crutches, I just stayed home.

Jim was cute. I have to say I got a kick out of watching him hobble around on crutches. Not that I was laughing at him, but it is interesting being on this side of things. That and I think he really hates being on crutches... but it doesn't take more than a day on those to really appreciate the ability to walk. :)

After work, Jim and I packed up the dogs and went to get both girls. It was really kind of odd having him in the back seat with his foot propped up with me driving. For so long, it was the opposite!

Our evening was much like the last. We ate, we played hard, I chased Reagan around the house for my cardio and dance in the living room for my PT. :) Gotta get it all in.

I think in the last week, she hasn't played once with any toys in the living room. Is it time to weed stuff out?

Jim hurt his ankle - WHAT!?

Jim called me at work today and said "i can't walk on my foot". I thought he was kidding, but he really wasn't. By the end of the day, he said "i can't get the kids". ugh!

So between my parents and me, we got both kids from opposite sides of town and got home by 6pm. Mom took Jordan to SOS at Church and I hung out with Reagan and my gimpy hubby. I obviously told him what to do since I am now and expert on how to do almost anything on crutches and how to keep my foot elevated (even standing). LOL.

Reagan and I played most the evening. She was just nuts. If she wasn't literally running around the house, she was climbing in Jim's office chair wanting to be spun around a great amounts of speed. Her dinner tonight - Cereal. Yep - that's it. Since her gums are hurting, she won't eat much else. She sat on Jim's lap and ate two bowls of cereal and later had a whole yogurt by herself. I guess she's full at this point.

I think the best part of my night is putting her to bed. I love snuggling with her. And I love reading books with her. Her favorite is the one that Jim reads to her "Not the Hippo"... she tolerates me reading it, but LOVES it when Jim reads it to her.

Oh well... another crazy day.

a very long day

Today was a very long day for me. It started at 730am for a business breakfast and then was non-stop all day (meetings back to back). By the time I left work, I was so mentally drained that I couldn't think.

By the time I got home, I was numb. Reagan was throwing food at dinner and I just didn't even care. how horrible is that? She's been really fussy lately and I am 100% sure it's because she's got four teeth coming in at once. That kid can't do anything the easy way!

The nice part about my night was hanging out with Reagan before putting her in bed. We read books and sung some songs. It's so peaceful and calming for me - it's theraputic!

Ah well. Tomorrow is another day.

Her legs MUST be yummy!

Ok, I'm getting sick of my kid getting bitten at school. Reagan got bit on her leg AGAIN!!!!!!

I was so irritated today when I picked her up because no one could talk to me about it. It was a "here sign and we're sorry" instead of "here's what happened". Jim was so mad he actually toured another day care. Whoops.

I'm really hoping that we get some answers tomorrow when we take her in.

At least she was in good spirits when I picked her up. I can't imagine I would have been.

Tooth #13 & 14

Tonight, my mom was looking in her mouth as she was giggling upside down and happened to mention she was cutting her eye teeth. Hmmm. Geez louise! She just can't do anything the easy way. No wonder she's been finiky about her food and drink lately. Ugh!
