Eating a snack with momma

Today, after Reagan woke up from her nap, she asked for a snack. "Eat, eat..." using her sign language. So I went to the pantry with her following close behind and pulled out a snack for her. I turned to her and said "do you want this?" She immediately sat down and said "siii" (for sit) and opened up her mouth.

I guess that was a yes. :)

Library outing

Reagan and Jordan went to the Library today. Apparently, Reagan loved it because she got to play with some blocks and pick out some pretty cool books. It was the first time she went to the library - sniff sniff. I'm such a freakin' mush!!!

Three-word sentences

Last night Jim and I had a date for the first time in a while. Mom and Dad (or Mimi/Papa or Grammy/Grampy) took care of both the girls so we could watch a seriously cool movie (The Transformers).

So we got home and Jordan and Dad were playing games at the table. Mom was looking at pictures. Reagan was in bed, but still restless. The cool thing is that REagan strung three words together. Can you believe it? She said to my parents last night "Mimi all done, Papa all done" at the dinner table. Yea!

I'm sure these things will continue to happen, but I am so amazed at how fast she's changing and growing.

More words and noises

I just can't get over how fast her vocabulary is growing. Tonight, we read through "Brown bear brown bear what do you see" and she was able to make all the animal noises in the book - even "ribbit and oink".

HOLY COW!

Blanke peeaassee

She actually asked for her blanket that was hanging on the banister. She originally pointed at it and said banket, but I asked her to say "please" and she put the two words together. he heee.

Counting and 2-word sentences

I'm just blown away - my kid can count!! What happened!? One day I was begging her to say the number one and now she's counting goldfish on the kitchen table with Grampy!

Not only that, but in the last week she's started to put together two-word sentences. Not just here and there, but more regularly. Sometimes it's a "come on" or "sit down". She's also saying "thank you" more often.

I'm trying to get her to say "I love you". Just cuz I wanna hear her say it. :) he heeeee.

My little girl is getting so big. Sigh *)

Up the stairs

She walked up the stairs tonight all by herself. She used to let me hold on to her arm and then she'd walk up the stairs by holding onto the banister. Hmmm. She didn't want to have anything to do with me helping her. She held on, told me "nooooo" and walked all the way up by herself. Once she got to the top of the stairs, she closed the gate too. Geez.
