Tea party

Tonight, we had our first tea party with Reagan. It was just so darn cute. Jim gathered the tea pot and all the cups up and took off upstairs while shouting out "Momma I'm going to have a tea party. Do you want to come?"

Reagan, of course, was curious and wanted to go too. So I lifted her up and we both headed up the stairs. Jim started clanking around in the playroom and she took off after him.

We sat down in the playroom around the tea set and just had a ball. It took her a few minutes to get into it, but after the "second cup" she had the hang of the pouring of the tea, spooning and stirring of milk and sugar. She even started to get really bossy and tell Jim and me when to drink. Jim just laughed and said "she's your kid!". :)

The funniest thing was probably when she'd put the tea pot right back where she picked it up from. She did that over and over. Everytime she picked up a spoon or sugar or the pot, it had to go right back where it was supposed to. :) This definetly means she's mine. Haha!!

Hi Grammy

Today Reagan and Grammy had their first phone conversation. I was on the phone with Mom trying to figure out the day when Reagan acted interested in the phone. I asked her if she wanted to talk to Mimi and she said "yes".

So I gave her the phone and the conversation started. Mom asked her questions and she answered them in one or two word sentences. It was so hilarious to watch her walk around and around with the phone up to her ear.

So cute.

Playing possum

I was laying down in bed after my horrible day at golf and Jim brought Reagan in to see me. I had a nasty headache and had decided bed was a much better place for me at that moment. She proceeded to crawl up next to me on the other pillow and put her head down. Then she started snoring and playing possum. It was so cute. She'd lay there with her eyes shut and snort.

Just too cute.

Long day

Today, I went to my first golf outing. I must say, it is much harder to hit that stupid little ball than I thought it would be. I thought I'd connect at least 50% of the time - NOPE!!! Oh my.

I had such a hard time hitting that little ball that by the time we got through our fourth hole, I had totally given up. Not only that, I'd popped my neck out three different times that I ended up with a migraine by the end of it.

No amount of beer or anything else could keep me from total embarrassment on the final hole - I whiffed putting. Yes folks - I WHIFFED! I haven't quite figured out how the heck I managed to do it. I only had two beers in four hours - that couldn't have been it. So the only thing I was left with was I was just really that lame at golf.

Oh well!

Catching a ball

This afternoon, we all packed up for the first time and went out to Jim's mom's farm. They have a large piece of property out in Indiana. While relaxing after dinner, Jordan and Reagan were playing ball. Jordan kept trying to get Reagan to hold out her arms. It actually worked. Reagan caught the ball multiple times for Jordan tonight!

Yea Reagan (And Jordan!)

She called me Mommy

So I guess my name has changed - Reagan started calling me "mommy" tonight. And she called me that all night. It was cute. We all thought it was odd since she always calls me mama!

Ahhh my little stinky is getting older. Sniff!

Grocery store

TOnight, Reagan and I took off to go grab some food (and ice cream) from the store before dinner. I plopped her down in the cart and we took off walking around the store. The first thing we found was a watermelon. Yummy. Apparently Reagan likes watermelon, because as soon as she saw it, she screamed!!!! Oh my. So I asked her if she wanted it - yep she did. Then she was upset I didn't just put it in her lap.

Needless to say, we tried to eat healthy, but I think she and I both ate watermelon for dinner. Is that bad?
