So this morning I was at my wits end. I am so frazzled that I can't stand it. I feel like I have life pulling at me in all directions and I am starting to unravel. I can't even stand anyone touching me let alone the thought of someone touching me. Just stay away. I hate that feeling. I just hate that feeling.
So after some coaxing, Jim got up and took care of Reagan. I stayed in bed until it was painfully obvious that I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep. So I figured one way to get rid of my stress was to clean. It's working. It's quiet - everyone is at my parents except me and the dogs. I've ironed for an hour and hung up my clothes. I've vacuumed the entire first floor and I'm getting ready to dust.
I have a load of towels sitting in the laundry room that needs to get folded. I'm thinking about doing that.
Oh - I actually got to talk to my girlfriend on the phone for the first time in weeks. I needed that. I think I need a vacation. Sigh... how do you get one of those?

I'm so tired
Last night was the second night in a row that I had no sleep. Reagan has been keeping us up at night due to screaming fits. I just can't figure out what is wrong. Tuesday night, she woke up SCREAMING at 12:30 am and kept me up til about 4:00 am. Ugh. I had a 7:00 am breakfast too. Not good. Wednesday night, she just would not even go to bed. She wasn't tired. She wanted to play. And when you've had no sleep, it's hard to manage that.
I'm hoping tonight she sleeps.

Water over the face?
Reagan apparently has no fear of water over her face. Very odd. She likes to play with cups in the tub and about a week ago, she poured it on her head and giggled. Since then she's done it a few more times. But tonight was the big time - she stood up in the tub and took a shower, not only with the shower head, but also filling the cup with water and pouring it over her face.
Yea - maybe she'll be a fish later in life.

Just me and Reagan
I've decided on Tuesday nights, that I'm not giving her a bath. I'm protesting having to do everything since Jim goes to karate. I'm just not going to. Hmmmph.
Once I figured that out tonight, I was able to just play and hang out with Reagan. I had no time limit for anything. Just had to make sure she ate, but I didn't even worry about that either. I got dinner ready and just waited for her to tell me she was hungry. :) Ahhhh.
I think the thing I am most amazed about Reagan right now is the fact that she's really able to understand most of what you say. She's starting to be able to reason and make choices. It's fun. When it's just me and her, I really don't have much of a battle. We just hang. But when it is time to "do something" she doesn't want to, I actually have started talking to her. I have found that it does help cool the attitude at times, but not always.

New friends - old places
So I met a woman that actually not only knows where Malone, NY is but also lived there at one point in her life. Matter of fact, her family (specifically her in-laws) still live there.
But the super cool thing about it is, she got pictures of our old house while she was up there this week on vacation. :)

It's a God thing!
Tonight was an amazing night. Jim and I had planned to make a bunch of chicken to eat a few nights out as well as have for lunch. At the last minute on Sunday, we invited my parents up to share in the food. While we were grilling out, we looked across the street and noticed that someone was at the Pastor's old house... it was the Pastor and his wife. I couldn't believe it.
Jim asked if it was, and I just walked over there. To my surprise, they were in town to pack the house and were going out to eat. So I invited them up and they said yes.
Such a huge blessing. We hadn't seen them since Reagan was born. We loved having them as neighbors (as well as our Pastor for a while). So they came up and joined the whole family for dinner.
And believe it or not, Reagan contained a temper tantrum. She had taken Dad's knife and my fork and was not being very careful with them - so I wanted to take them away. So I announced - "it's going to get loud" and began to take them from her hands. She got very squinky and looked around and just looked so mad. But she did nothing. It was so weird. She didn't scream, she didn't make a peep. Then she all of a sudden, launched herself to me and cried. That was it.
HOLY COW!!!
Thank you God!
