Ok. How the heck does she know the shape "Oval"? Just an odd one. I know they teach her circle, square and all the basics, but Oval???

Slumber Party for Jordan's birthday

We hosted Jordan's birthday slumber party tonight. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be (I say that nicely becuase I was dreading drama from four girls). The girls arrived around 2pm and they played outside for the most the afternoon. Eventually Jim walked them to the pool. I hung out with Reagan while she slept. When she got up, I took her to the pool and ran out for kid food and ice cream cake for the birthday girl.

When I got back the evening really kicked in. We ate pizza and took off for Laser Tag. Jim and I bought a three hour pass for all four girls and us. Wow! I had never played before and had a total blast! We played five 20 minute games... I was worn out by the end of the fourth one. Surprisingly, my achilles held up great. It got tight in the third game, but it did great. I was sweating more than I had in a while and quite frankly enjoyed myself more than I thought I would. We will definetly go back!

After hours of running around trying to blast others, we came home with four tired girls in tow. All but one said "I'm staying up all night" and only one did. :) Jim and I wanted to wear them out and I think we did.

Monkey

Reagan is such a little monkey. My mom and I took her to the park this morning and she was climbing on everything so well. The stairs are now no problem. The slides are easy and now she is climbing up this metal spiral step thing.

Not only that, but now she's climbing on top of our barstools and the back of the couch. How do you stop a monkey?

Copy cat

Reagan is such a copy cat lately. Almost anything that comes out of our mouths and our actions, she will try to copy at the very moment we do it. I've learned in the last several days that I have to not only watch what I say, but also what I do. Jim and I used to "play hit" each other... and now we have to stop that because Reagan was hitting us. Oops. The other cool thing about that is we can make her say just about anything - I think Jim's favorite is "awesome" or "i don't know".

Temper tantrums

While we are still having some fun episodes, they are getting better. She seems to be able to talk her way through her frustration a bit better - which is good. She's really learning to try to show or verbalize her frustration. It's actually kind of fun to watch her brain work. When I talk to her when she's mad, I can actually see her thinking it through. Even her teacher said she was one of the kids in her class that she could "talk to" when she gets mad. Very odd.

Stayed home today

So I guess I'm still run down. I got all the way into work and they sent me home. I believe they said "you look like s4!$". Nice huh. I came home and slept for over four hours. I did feel much better and glad I was able to miss all of my meetings. Yea!!

I'm just hoping that Reagan doesn't get my creepin crud.
