No nap maybe

We attempted to do the no-nap thing today. Reagan really doesn't require a ton of sleep each night. Most nights she gets up after about 8-10 hours of sleep if she takes a two-hour nap. So today, we all piled in the car about lunch time thinking that we'd just run our errands.

Eventually, I stopped hearing her cough and fuss. I turned around to see what she was doing and she was asleep. Oops. I guess she did need her nap after all.

Okay?

Just this week, Jim and I have noticed Reagan saying "Okaaayyee" quite a bit. She actually says it at the appropriate moments which makes me wonder how she picked it up. If you ask her to do something, she'll mutter something and eventually end up saying "okayyeee". Cute.

Reagan's shadow

Everytime Reagan gets her bubbles (bubblesh) out, Sydney is right by her side. She will chase her around and eat all the bubbles that Reagan can blow out of the wand. It's so cute to watch them play together. Sydney loves following her around and will even play chase with her. Carson will get upset at her for chasing her at times which makes play time that much more fun to watch.

Tried potty training

We tried potty training for a brief moment today. Reagan has been showing signs for a while that she is ready to try it. We've gotten her potty seats and routinely go through the painful process of running to the bathroom when she says "potty".

So today she said "big girl panties". So Jim put them on her and we gave it a whirl. Less than 20 minutes into it, she peed and pooped in her pants. We thought she had just peed so we left her in it for a bit because she just didn't seem to care. After about five minutes, I decided to change her - still showing no care.

I was totally surprised to find the lovely stuff in her undies - pee and poop. Awesome. Actually I think she had the runs (lovely), so it's probably not a great time to do this. Oh well.

We'll try again soon. We have a TON of Dora undies in her drawer now.

Our Family Christmas

When Reagan got up this morning, I took her out and showed her the tree with all the presents from Santa. She flipped. We turned on the lights and she immediately started trying to figure out which one was hers. So cute. She'd asked and I'd tell. When she got to one of hers, she wanted to open it right then.

Unfortunately, Jim was not quite ready so I had her carry a present downstairs to Daddy to let him know she was ready. After about three presents, she was done. I got something cool for my mac and keyboard hook up. I'm excited. I gave Jim the PS3 headset and Reagan got some toys. She gave up opening the presents after three and left the other one unopened. We can't wait til she opens that - it's a medical kit for kids. :) he heee

So at this point today, Jim, Reagan and I are nesting in the basement. Reagan is frolicking about - just having a ball. She's even gotten to speak with Jordan today. We were happy about that - she LOVES her big sister.

Oh well - on to nap time and I am going to play on my keyboard. :)

What an awesome Christmas so far!

Merry Christmas to all

I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas!

So sweet

Tonight, we went up to Papa Carman's house to celebrate Christmas. We had a really nice time. We all ate a good dinner and opened presents soon after. Rhonda also was able to hang out with us for a while which was nice since we never see her. She's quite a treat to be around. I love her sense of humor.

Rhonda got Reagan an awesome music box kit with a drum. Reagan LOVED it. She banged on that thing FOREVER. And boy was it loud. Hmmm. She even had Gama and Papa on the floor with her playing a tune. And yes, I got pics.

Later, when we were leaving, I asked Reagan if she loved Gama. She said "I love Gama and I love Papa too". Awwwwww
