Turning pages
Tonight, Reagan did something interesting while we were reading books. She was sitting in my lap and turning the pages, but kept having trouble getting the pages unstuck. So she turned around, looked at me and said, "hold on Mama". Then she proceeded to lick her fingers and turn the page. Ummm... where did she learn that?

17 weeks and counting
Not that I am really counting - ha ha ha - but I am 17 weeks along and winding down the 18th quickly. Woo hooo. The really surprising thing is that I'm still dealing with the most awesome morning sickness, but it's changed. Instead of being sick from morning til night, I just get random pukey events. It doesn't seem to have a pattern, just happens. This morning, I woke up, logged into work and had to lay back down. It was awful. The good thing so far is that I really haven't gained that much weight. I'm surprised. So far, I've only put on a total of 8-9 pounds. I'm happy. But I just hope that I'm eating the right way for Baby C. I'm so worried about having a healthy baby. (I know - all in God's hands).
Anyway - all is well so far.

Zerberts
Tonight Reagan was hilarious. She and Jim were playing after her bath on the floor of her bedroom. He has a game where he tickles her and zerberts her to just have fun. She giggles so hard that I think she might puke, but then she asks for more. It's fun to watch. She LOVES it.
Well tonight, she wanted to "run around Jim" while he was sitting on the floor. So she did. She ran and ran and ran. She giggled and giggled and giggled. Eventually Jim stopped her and she just giggled all the more. Then she ran up to him and put her mouth on him and yelled "zerrrrberrrttttt". She didn't give Jim and zerbert, she put her mouth on his cheek and said "zerbert" loudly. She did that over and over again. I haven't belly laughed like that in a long time and I must say, I needed it.

Growing by leaps and bounds
My mom asked me the other day if I was still blogging on Reagan every day. Oh my gosh - no. She changes so much every day that I can't even keep up anymore. One thing to note however is her official move away from naps during the day. We've been battling night time sleep for some time - between night terrors and just refusal to sleep. We asked the school to shorten her naps and that is helping. She still needs them, just not every day. Ugh.
The other thing is she's carrying on conversations - full ones. I think the longest sentence I have counted this week is about 12 words. And, yes, it made sense. Very scary.
I also bought her a series of flash cards - numbers, shapes/colors, alphabet and sight words. The first day we used them, she had the shapes/colors and the numbers nailed. Wow. It took a few more days for the alphabet. She actually still gets hung up on a few letters, but she is really good at it. Now I'm starting to push the sight words a lot.
She is a book nut! She LOVES books. We'll read books to her at night and she'll sit on our laps with a stack of them to read as well. I think that's great. She makes up her own stories if she doesn't know the book. If she does, she'll spit out the story fairly well. :)
We're not really any further on her potty training, but that is simply because I've been too tired to push it. I'm sure if I made it a priority, it would get done. Ah well. That's life. I'm hoping that I will feel better this trimester and I can start working with her more.
Bath time seems to be no longer a struggle. We've figured out that all we have to do is say "time for bath" and start walking and she comes running. Wow!
I think that's it for now. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Mother's Day 2010
Mother's Day was a nice day. I'm surprised. It was the first day "for me" that was actually nice in a while. I was surprised. We got up and had a decent breakfast. I was actually able to take a shower and didn't have to get Reagan up. Jim got me a nice present from the family. Church was nice. We got to hang out with my mom after church and Jim's mom in the evening. All in all, it was nice normal day without a lot of chaos. Ahhhh!

The Baby C kicked!
Tonight, I was sitting in the rocking chair holding Reagan. As I leaned over to take Reagan to her bed, the baby kicked... hard. :)
Flying apples
Today, we all drove up to Papa's church for Mema's dedication service. We actually got out the door on time, but I left the toy bag at home. Ugh. She did fairly well for most of the service. Towards the end of the service, she started to get really restless. She started climbing and digging into her bag. She found her apples. I was actually impressed - because she got it open herself. I stopped being impressed when she started waiving the bag up and down. The bag quickly went from waiving in her hand to flinging apple slices across several pews. I could not stop giggling. Most of them landed on Jim, but there were some that landed over and around us. I was so thankful that everyone was a good sport about it. :)
