Reagan and Maddy

This morning Reagan was sitting down next to me and Maddy. Reagan cracked herself up and made Maddy laugh. She loves to watch happy faces I guess. I got it recorded. :)

Supergirl

Yea, my little girl has finally put a cape on and started running around the house like a superhero. I love it.

While i was at the doctor's office yesterday, Reagan grabbed Maddy's blanket and asked Jim to tie it around her neck. He took a hair band and fastened it to her. She ran and ran and ran. Of course, she had her arms out in front of her like supergirl would fly. LOL.

Last night and this morning, I was able to witness this and even get pictures. I'm loving the make believe time with her.

Reagan and Sharing

This morning, Reagan and Jim were sitting on the floor next to Maddy. Reagan was eating her box of raisins. She turned to Jim and said "here Daddy" while trying to hand him a raisin. Jim didn't want any and told her that. "No thank you".

Reagan quickly looked at the box and said "but it says, you have to share and it says you have to have them".

WoW!

Four nights in a row

Maddy has slept all through the night four nights in a row. WOW! She slept the first two nights in her bed. Friday night, the night I was sick, she slept in the sleeper next to me. I was too drained to do the whole bedtime routine. Last night, she slept all through the night.

She gets cranky about 8:45 pm - almost like clockwork. By 9:30 pm, she wants to be in bed. Nice. Very nice.

Moving up in size

She's getting bigger. 13 pounds... and we finally graduated to size 2 diapers. Wow!

Mommy is sick

Ugh. I woke up from my quick nap yesterday in a deep freeze. Maddy was so cozy warm and I was cold to the bone. Because I woke up late to get Reagan, I just hopped in the car and took off. I froze the whole way there. I couldn't get warm. When I got home, I decided I was way too cold to wait for Jim to get home - I got right in the shower with both the girls in the bathroom with me.

It didn't help. I was freezing.

The only thing I could think of was I had a fever. No amount of blankets were helping. It was official - I was sick.

Mom and Dad came up to hang out and see the girls. I stayed on the couch covered in blankets. The only thing I did was feed Maddy. Jim brought me some motrin - that helped my fever quite a bit.

This morning, I woke up and felt like a train had run over me. I gave up and decided to go over to Urgent Care. They told me I had a double infection - one that turns from a viral and then turns bacterial. Nice.

Oh well. I'm feeling slightly better tonight. I'm still having to take motrin for my fever. I haven't shaken that yet. I hope to feel better on Sunday.

She's three months old

She's three months old today. It's just amazing how time flies when you are having fun... literally. I love being home with her. I'm busier this time around, but still enjoy her every day.

She is so aware and alive. She's so expressive. She's starting to teethe already - she's been knawing on my fingers and whatever else she can get her hands on. It's cute to watch. Today, she chewed on my knuckle for about 10 minutes. I finally pulled my finger out of her mouth. She didn't sleep much today, but she's in her own bed tonight. Yea!

She's gotten really good at grabbing onto thing on her play mat. She knows when I'm around and when I'm not - she looks for me. She doesn't get alive unless someone is around. She's beautiful, perfect and such a blessing to have.

I think the neatest thing she does is hold on to me. Reagan never did. Maddy holds onto my chest when she's nursing. She holds on when she's on my shoulder or hip. She holds onto her bottle when she's eating from that. It is just awesome. She is already a mama's girl - but in a different way. Reagan was clingy, but she would go to other people. Maddy doesn't like strangers too much. She cries real tears if I am not holding her.

So far, the first three months have been awesome. The second three months will be interesting as well. I plan on heading back to work and sending her to day care (sigh...). I will miss her terribly, but will enjoy every moment with her until then. She's such a blessing to me.
