Fussy girl

Today was a crazy day. Poor Maddy spent most of her day in the car seat. While sometimes necessary, I hate days like that. We went from driving Reagan to school, to the store, to the mall, to the doctors and then finally home. She was SO happy by the time she got home she couldn't be contained. She lit up! I put her on the play mat and she giggled and gurgled and cooed. So happy. Imagine one of my babies not wanting to be contained.

Rolling over

Today I put Maddy on her play mat and she rolled half way over. She's never gotten that far on her own. Just a little more and she'll have that leg thrown over and be on her belly.

So talkative

Maddy has talked for two days straight. Literally. She wakes up cooing, cooes all day (unless she's crying like today). But when she wasn't crying (because she was in her car seat) she was cooing. Loving the noise! It's good to hear.

Tornado sirens but no tornado

This morning, we got up very early due to the crazy thunderstorm. I got restless probably about 5:00 am, but decided at 5:30 am that I couldn't sleep anymore. The wind was so harsh that it felt like it might blow the house down. Not too long after I decided I couldn't sleep, Jim woke up too.

We walked out into the living room and went to go check on the girls when the alarms went off. Great! So he got Reagan and I got Maddy and we headed to the basement. Tornado right!? NO!!!

Oh my. We turned on the TV and it said "we know your alarms are going off, but there have not been any tornados reported". Ugh. Better safe than sorry I guess, but man am I grumpy today without sleep.

Potty training much better

In the last two weeks since Reagan's appointment, her potty issues have seemed to do much better. The doctor suggested that we OVER celebrate the positives and accomplishments and almost ignore the negatives (unless it's over the top) and see what happens. He really felt that she was craving attention good or bad. I think he was right. We started over celebrating the wins for her potty training and she got right back to where she was. She's not always excited to go when we ask, but she is much more agreeable. Good Job Reagan.

Mirror mirror...

Maddy has hit the stage where she loves to look at herself in the mirror. She just started looking at herself and giggling. Love it.

Maddy waking up

Maddy wakes up so nicely. She just starts cooing. She never gets real loud. She just plays until I get in the room. This morning, I popped my head over the crib rail and she smiled so big. It's an awesome feeling!

This morning, she started cooing about 7:15 am and she hasn't stopped. It's now 8:40 am. ;)
