Tonight was strange for me at bedtime. Maddy actually didn't fall asleep in my arms like she normally did. She was restless and tired, but I didn't seem to be the pacifier she needed. I eventually gave up and thought I'd put her down for a bit and see what happened.
She growls when she gets really tired and is fighting sleep. As soon as I put her down, she started growling. Loudly. She didn't scream, so I just walked out and hoped that she could settle down. She did. She played a bit and eventually went to sleep on her own. My little girl is getting big on me. I can't stand it.

loves to write and draw
I've noticed that every time Reagan gets paper out to draw on, she wants to write. She doesn't draw as much as she practices her letters. I find that interesting.
Dress rehearsal for Reagan
Tonight, I took Reagan to her dance recital dress rehearsal. I'm not sure how many groups were there, but they were all so cute in their costumes. Reagan was a lady bug. We got there and she made a bee-line for sophia (I think). They were cute. They held hands and swayed.
Eventually, we had to move along and sit down with her group. I was a bit disappointed that she was with the younger group. Most of her friends were together - she was the only one in this group from her class. She was also a whole head taller than the other kids.
She was the only one that knew the dance and actually tried to follow the teacher. I loved it. She was so proud of herself. She looked for me the whole time and lit up once she found me. I'm so proud of her. After her dance was done, she wanted to stay around and watch the other dancers. It was nice to see her want to stick around.

Beef again?
Jim tried to give Maddy a beef and carrot mixture tonight. No go again. She just kept spitting it out of her mouth. Whoops.

What am I wearing mom?
This morning, I put Maddy in a cute little floral outfit this morning - one of Reagan's old purple onsie things. She has been so curious about the outfit since she got it on. She keeps looking at the flowers and pulling at her shirt. So curious.
Having fun with Maddy
Maddy's tubes have made a huge difference in her personality, voice and mood. She is always talking (again), super happy (again) and so playful. This morning, I went upstairs because I heard her talking in her bed. She was gabbing and laughing out loud. I peeked in and she lit up so fast. Her feet were up by her face and she was playing with her blanket. So cute.
I got her out and she kicked and laughed some more. I put her down on the changing table and she just kicked and laughed some more. When I fed her, she played with me. She'd eat for a bit and then look up and smile. She wanted to play.
We actually had a conversation. She'd growl at me and look up. I'd make a noise back. We did that about ten times before I just started laughing with her. So cute.
Now we're sitting in the living room on her play mat. I pulled four toys out of her bin and left to make coffee. I came back a few minutes later and found about 20 toys pulled out in front of her and her pulling the bin over looking for yet another toy.

A fort in my living room
While I was feeding Maddy in the bedroom, Jordan and Reagan decided to build a fort with all the blankets and towels in our house. They used the back of the couch, three chairs and a ton of imagination to build this thing. It's HUGE...and just large enough to hold the dog bed and all the contents of Reagan's room. Literally. I think she brought all of her stuffed animals from her room into that fort and played all afternoon and evening. So fun. I decided to leave it up through dinner, even though two of us had to stand because of it. How can I take it down? She had so much fun in it.
