should i crawl?

I am really hoping that Maddy will crawl. When we were at my parent's house, we tried to get her into the crawling position. She did fine for a while. Then she'd get frustrated and then start fussing. She can pull herself forward pretty well. She also is starting to pull up some on things. She reaches for hands and other things and then pulls. My mom actually got her to move forward on the blanket today. She'd hold her hands and Maddy would pull herself forward - pulling towards her. It was funny to see.

We have a new sink!

FINALLY! We have a new sink and new faucet. A few days ago, our facet died. It started leaking everywhere. About a week before that, I pulled the faucet head out and the cable came unscrewed sending water every where. We had actually been sick of the faucet and the sink for some time for a lot of reasons.

Today, we went to the local hardware place and Lowes to pick out a new faucet and sink. Brushed silver faucet and a black granite sink. It looks AWESOME!!! Jim did most of the work. His dad came down from Mason to help out with the plumbing. I was impressed. Not only did he do it himself, but he got it done pretty quickly too.

I'll post pics as soon as i get to my mac to get them off my camera.

Reagan's grades

Today, I went to Reagan's school to do "parent-teacher" conference. The teacher is okay. I haven't been real impressed with her since she got there - she doesn't seem to push the kids. She seems to be just doing the basics. I thought by what I saw that she was doing well, but she didn't seem very enthusiastic at all. I asked about her social development. She said she was doing well. She mixed well with the other kids, she had no concerns. I made a comment about her age and she thought it was curious. She asked how old she was, and I said "she's three". She thought she was turning 4 soon. When I told her she wasn't even 3.5, she was floored.

I was happy to see that reaction, but not impressed she didn't know how old my kid was. Odd.

Going to sleep

Tonight was strange for me at bedtime. Maddy actually didn't fall asleep in my arms like she normally did. She was restless and tired, but I didn't seem to be the pacifier she needed. I eventually gave up and thought I'd put her down for a bit and see what happened.

She growls when she gets really tired and is fighting sleep. As soon as I put her down, she started growling. Loudly. She didn't scream, so I just walked out and hoped that she could settle down. She did. She played a bit and eventually went to sleep on her own. My little girl is getting big on me. I can't stand it.

loves to write and draw

I've noticed that every time Reagan gets paper out to draw on, she wants to write. She doesn't draw as much as she practices her letters. I find that interesting.

Dress rehearsal for Reagan

Tonight, I took Reagan to her dance recital dress rehearsal. I'm not sure how many groups were there, but they were all so cute in their costumes. Reagan was a lady bug. We got there and she made a bee-line for sophia (I think). They were cute. They held hands and swayed.

Eventually, we had to move along and sit down with her group. I was a bit disappointed that she was with the younger group. Most of her friends were together - she was the only one in this group from her class. She was also a whole head taller than the other kids.

She was the only one that knew the dance and actually tried to follow the teacher. I loved it. She was so proud of herself. She looked for me the whole time and lit up once she found me. I'm so proud of her. After her dance was done, she wanted to stay around and watch the other dancers. It was nice to see her want to stick around.

Beef again?

Jim tried to give Maddy a beef and carrot mixture tonight. No go again. She just kept spitting it out of her mouth. Whoops.
