This morning, I got about half way to work when I realized that Maddy hit a milestone. When I went upstairs to get her this morning, she was sitting up in bed playing with the mobile she had pulled off the side of the crib.
She was sitting up in bed. So that means she got up from a laying down position (either belly or back) and had gotten to the seated position. Holy Cow!
Not only that, but she is motoring around the carpeting wonderfully now. She is amazing to watch. She just tools around like nothing anymore. When she gets stuck, she starts making the "eh eh eh" noise. We just know to go help her over the edge of the rug or something.

Field trips and bike ride
Today was Reagan's first field trip. The class went to the Laser place to play some glow in the dark putt-putt. The original plan was for me to take her and dad to pick her up. But the bus took so long that I had to take her to my dad's shop and he took her over - I had to get to work. She loved it. Dad said she did really well and was very happy to be able to go with her friends.
Tonight, when we all got home. We ate dinner and then she and I went out for a bike ride. She was so happy to get outside. I loved it. She is really getting good at pedaling herself around. I held on when we were going down the hills only to make sure she didn't lose control. I was so proud of her when she rode around my parent's driveway by herself. :)

Waking up
This morning, I went in to get Maddy out of bed and she had pulled her mobile down from the side of the crib. She has a small cut on her forehead, but overall she was happy to be playing with it. Guess it's time to move that thing out of her room.

Hercules
I put Maddy in her walker tonight after dinner and she took off. Literally. She started walking and nothing seemed to stop her. She moved over carpet. She moved over the rugs. She plowed through stuff - it was amazing to watch. At one point, Jim asked if she was using a walker at daycare. I'm not sure, but man she is taking off. She may be an early walker.

Bibs
She hates the plastic bibs that you can wipe down. She rips them off almost as fast as you put them on her. The only ones she seems to tolerate are the cloth ones. Ahhh.

Make believe
Yesterday, I bought Reagan a new Dora dollhouse. She was BEGGING for it in the store. It was on sale. Sucker was written across my forehead. Nice. When we got it home, she was all over me to open it up so she could play. We weren't home long enough to get it out, so we promised tomorrow.
This morning, before breakfast, she started begging again. So we did. We got it out and she started playing with it. SHe pulled her little playskool farm over and blended the two together. She didn't stop. She was so enthralled with the whole thing - we couldn't believe it. (she of course lost dora and two chairs too) Needless to say, it was a good buy. She doesn't like to stop. Yeah!

Walker and Jumper
Maddy just loves to be on the move. She is not at all happy to be sitting still or being held. She wants to move. Tonight, we put her in her walker and she started moving it across the carpet. I thought we'd have to take up the rugs to let her walk around. Not so much. She plowed through it and just kept going.
We also put her in the jumparoo - the thing that goes in between the door. She finally got it. She just giggled and played. She loved it. I think there were three cameras on her the whole time - me, mom and Jordan too.
