Singing with me
The last two nights, I've been singing to Maddy as I put her to sleep. What is just adorable is I think she tries to sing with me. She starts making sounds when I sing and then she smiles. It's just so darn cute.
Maddy
Maddy is really able to communicate well what she wants through her actions. She wanted to get into her walker tonight. She crawled over to it, pulled up and started smacking the front of it. I asked "do you want to get in?" She just started making her Hooty sounds which means yes. I picked her up and put her in and she was off. She can really plow through this house. She's getting close to the point that I have to worry about my ankles getting hit and hurt pretty badly. It's so fun to watch though.

BIg girl food
Maddy has started eating regular food. Today she ate off of Jim's peach, apple, plum and apricot. She also ate a banana at dinner with refried beans. She loves to eat food. I think being around other babies that do, help out some. Thank goodness she's still eating baby food out of a jar. :)
Squatters rights
Maddy is getting really good at squatting. She will pull herself up on the coffee table and the squat up and down. She loves it. She started doing this the other day - she'd pull up and down on me. Tonight, she did it all night. I am just waiting for her to cruise. She's so ready.
Driving Reagan to school today, I had the music CD on to listen to. After we dropped maddy off, I shut the DVD player. Almost immediately she complained. “Mommy I want to watch the DVD”. I said “I thought you wanted to listen to the music”. She said “oh yes mommy, I want to listen to music. But there’s music at the end of the movie. Madagascar (with a smile and bright eyes)! Ya know” and then started singing “Move it move it” song. Geez!

Pulling up like a pro
She is pulling up on everything now. It's just amazing to watch her. Actually, I have to watch her. If I don't, she will disappear. She can move so quickly, that I don't dare take my eyes off her very long. I turn around sometimes and find her standing up on things. Whoops. She'd much rather be standing up and playing than on your lap or confined at all.
