All giggles

When I walked in the door to Maddy's school, she was quite the busy little girl. When she finally saw me, she ran towards me, giggling her little butt off and holding her hand over her mouth. So cute.

Reagan so darn cute

Reagan is at an age where everything is new to her. She is constantly shocking me with what she can do with her brain. She is starting to read some and is just growing by leaps and bounds mentally. She also is coming up with new sayings. I think her favorite one is "I got an idea" and "Got it?" I can't tell you how many times in a day she will utter those words.

She is totally in love with her stuffed animals and is starting to form an interest in barbies. Whooops. She is utterly creative and loves to dress up on a regular basis. She often hides from my camera but I find that she might have one of the best smiles I've ever seen. She is so good to her little sister at times that it makes me cry. I love watching the two of them interact and play. They are so sweet.

I hope that she will always know how awesome I think she is. Even when I'm scolding her, I secretly think she's awesome because she frustrates me.

New words

She's got more words! Now we're cookin'. LOL

Light is better pronounced.
Lunch is Lunn
Baths is baaatt
Bear is Grrrrrr
Dog is Doooo
Her favorite thing to do now is growl and act like a monkey. We can ask her what sound a bear makes and she will growl. She'll growl if she sees a picture of one as well. I can also now get her to do the monkey motions - oo aa.

Good morning Maddy

This morning, Maddy woke up early, or so I thought. I got out here and got things together and marched upstairs to wake Reagan first. Reagan was resistant, but I left her light on and walked into Maddy's room. It was quiet, very quiet. Odd, she was just up fussing. Hmmm. I looked in and all I saw was a ball of fabric in the corner of her bed and the only noise was snoring. She was back asleep. She had covered herself completely in her blankets and gone back to sleep.

I quickly left and closed the door. I went back to Reagan's room and turned the lights out, closed the door and now I'm down here writing.

Cute.

Detail girl

Reagan always seems to blow my mind lately. Tonight, we were driving over to Florence and she began to talk about "Cinderella, the animated movie" and/or the story. She got the scene stuck in her head where the wicked step-sisters were signing at the piano. Many of you may know that scene.

What blew my mind was the detail that she recalled. She told me exactly what the girls were wearing - the colors of the dresses, the tiaras, their eyes and lips - and the fact that they were singing horribly and smacking each other with a flute. I laughed because I knew that I would have to watch it myself to verify. Either way, I was amazed at the level of detail she gave. Wow girl!

Three cavities

Nice. They said it wasn't my fault. She has really deep grooves in her teeth. It's just the way they are made. But still it makes me sick.

defiance ugh

Reagan has gotten a bout of defiance lately. I'm not sure what's up, but she's decided since she's turned four that she is the boss of the world. I love it. It drives me crazy. She is definitely trying to assert herself and figure out where the boundaries are.   The good thing is that I've been home during this period. I'm able to handle it a tad better. :) I love watching her discover new things. I love watching her put things together. She's so much fun.
