So today, I took Maddy for her 15-month appointment. She does not do well with shots. Today she was going to get shots. Uh oh. :) We got through the appointment. She's great. The doctor said she was doing well - height, weight, milestones etc... Before the shots came, she already started crying. Ugh. She had such a fit that the nurse and I couldn't help but giggle. She just got so worked up that I didn't know what else to do. I felt so horrible.
So by contrast - I picked her up today after school and she was giggling. Amber said that she had giggled all day. They didn't know why, but at times she would just burst out laughing for now apparent reason. Okay. How funny. She's continued that all night and I've laughed right along with her.

Maddy sick
Apparently Maddy got this wonderful gastrointestinal virus while on an antibiotic. Really!? Monday morning, I walked into her room and it smelled of puke. Yuck! I gave her a bath. I gave her a bottle and she was fine 90 minutes later, so I took her to school.
Tuesday morning, she had pooped completely through her diaper and into her sleeper. Nice. I didn't realize it until after I had already gotten "it" all over me. Even Nicer! She got another bath and bottle. She held it down, so I took her to school.
I called the doctor on Tuesday and they told me then to take her off the antibiotic. It was probably making the virus worse. Super Nice!
Today, we went for her 15-month appointment. New meds, ear drops for puss and probiotics just in case. Ugh. Oh yea, and if she doesn't get over the cough with the zpack, then she will probably need an allergy medication. Nice plus!

Watching Maddy sleep
Maddy is really cute when she goes to sleep. I put her down after her bottle. She wasn't fussing, she just wasn't going to bed or sleep. Every time I walked away, she cried. So I stayed and hovered. I didn't have to touch her. Eventually, I just sat down on the bench next to her bed and watched.
She rolled around. She played. She stood up and turned on her music machine. She'd actually seem to choose a song because she'd hit the selector button until she got to the song and then she'd fall down on her bed. Every once in a while, she'd just fuss, but nothing too crazy.
I had a softy blanket hanging on the side of her crib. Apparently she needed it to cuddle with - she got up and grabbed it. She fell quickly to her spot and started rolling around with it - cuddling I guess. Once she had that, she was good. I quietly tip-toed out having such a warm spot in my heart. I wish I could just bottle these moments up and keep them forever.
Sigh... I love my hootie.

Changes
Reagan seems to be going through some changes. I'm not sure why - it might just be her age. But, she's having some trouble sleeping a bit more. She can't seem to settle down. She is also getting much more defiant. Again, I'm pretty sure it's the age and testing of boundaries.
She's starting to want to put together puzzles more and do more interactive things. It is nice to see.
Tonight, she worked on her Dora puzzles with Mimi and Papa. It was a lot of fun to watch her interact with them tonight.

Barfola
I went into Maddy's room this morning and the room smelled of puke. Nice. The weird thing is she was sleeping. I looked in her bed and she was snoring and laying in the puke. The best part - it was a giant fish stick. Jim had given the girls fish sticks for dinner. Maddy had not had this yet. Apparently it did not agree with her. She didn't wake up or fuss when she puked. I'm not even sure when it happened.
My little cutie pie got a bath with lavender this morning and I gave her a bottle. After she held it down for about two hours, I carted her little cuteness off to school. She was fine all day.
So does that mean she has a fish allergy?

All giggles
When I walked in the door to Maddy's school, she was quite the busy little girl. When she finally saw me, she ran towards me, giggling her little butt off and holding her hand over her mouth. So cute.

Reagan so darn cute
Reagan is at an age where everything is new to her. She is constantly shocking me with what she can do with her brain. She is starting to read some and is just growing by leaps and bounds mentally. She also is coming up with new sayings. I think her favorite one is "I got an idea" and "Got it?" I can't tell you how many times in a day she will utter those words.
She is totally in love with her stuffed animals and is starting to form an interest in barbies. Whooops. She is utterly creative and loves to dress up on a regular basis. She often hides from my camera but I find that she might have one of the best smiles I've ever seen. She is so good to her little sister at times that it makes me cry. I love watching the two of them interact and play. They are so sweet.
I hope that she will always know how awesome I think she is. Even when I'm scolding her, I secretly think she's awesome because she frustrates me.
