Strep day two
Well, she can't be held down by much. She rested as much as she could stand today, but got pretty bored. She wanted to get up and dance and play. We did play board games today, but I tried my best to keep her settled. I wanted her to have a couple days of the medicine before she got too active again. Too much of my mom in me huh.

Maddy and Mom
Not only did Reagan stay home with strep, the school notified us that the pre-K kids had to leave early as well. My mom volunteer to watch Maddy and even nap her for us. Wow. We got there and I had my little pow-wow with Maddy about being good and napping for Mimi.
She did!
She told Mimi after a bit of play time that it was time to go take a nap and proceeded to walk Mimi upstair and crawled into bed. Cute.

Strep wins
Turns out Reagan has strep. She's been complaining a bit about her throat hurting so we kept her from church last night and then school today to take her to the doctor. Jim took her. Apparently she did NOT like the strep test - the swab in the back of the throat. She apparently got so stinkin' mad that she screamed and then tried to leave the room. The nurse let her know that she would be leaving and she could stay with her dad. Next thing, she huddled up in the corner of the room, wedged between the table and chair and just started crying. She was not happy.
Jim took her to the grocery to get her meds and then stuff for her throat. Jello, pudding, popsicles and tapioca. So today she sat around and probably watched more TV than I want to admit. I had to work and I really wanted to keep her still and not run around. The iPad didn't leave her side for hours. Oh well. At least she is rested and ready for tomorrow.

Sleepover and Princess party
Tonight was a big night for us. Reagan had her first big sleepover. She asked to call Pawpaw on Thursday night and when she got ahold of him, she said "I want to sleep over at your house tomorrow night". Wow!
When we got home from school, she got herself packed. Everything. Clean underwear, toothbrush and toothpaste, toys and everything else she needed. Totally impressed. Not only that, she did super well.
She and Pawpaw slept in the bunk bed room and she went right to sleep for them! How impressed.

My big girl
I can not believe how much you are changing and growing before my eyes. You are strongly independent. You are your own girl. You know what you like and don't falter. You love to play with Maddy. You love to teach and lead little children around you. You are artistic and fun to watch dance. You are sweet, creative, funny and loving. I love watching you grow.
Sleep my child
My child. You are beautiful and amazing. You are so peaceful. You are such an awesome gift. I love that you want me to snuggle with you at night. I love the fact that I get to watch you sleep. You rub your blankets. You have a sequence that your blankets must be layered on top of you. You must sleep on my shoulder. I love watching you sleep. I will always cherish the moments of your life that you want me to be right by your side... watching you sleep.
Blue's Clues
Maddy's new favorite show is Blue's Clues. Funny. She still likes Dora, just not in the same way. She just is now appreciating loudly the power of the blue little puppy dog. And so am I. She begged me the other day to watch it and I didn't have it recorded. That produced quite a melt down. Needless to say, I started recording it and tonight she was happy.
