Voices
The girls love trying to imitate different voices. Today was Stitch. Jordan has it down - she's good at voices. Reagan tries - she's getting close. Maddy has Stitch down, but it cracks me up how often she tries to do another voice.

Reagan is getting bigger
She is growing up fast on me. Every time I turn around, she is taking charge and doing more things on her own. Tonight, she fed the dogs, was proud of herself for eating her dinner and is taking care of her teeth all on her own.
It's nice to see, but makes my heart ache a bit. My little baby is growing up.

Maddy is cute and rotten
Maddy really enjoys just playing. She is happy to play by herself or with others. She's at that age where she can totally entertain herself. Tonight, was no different. After they got home from school, she went upstairs to her room to play. She was quite the busy little bee. She played in her room with her animals and her dolls. She put on a new outfit - she didn't like her school outfit. But she was quiet.
I've learned my lesson.
When we went upstairs to put the kids in bed, I figured out what she was up to. Her clothes had been emptied out of her dresser. I had figure that her dresser contents ended up in our bonus room. I was right. She had dressed her stuffed animals in her clothes. She had set up a tea party and had dumped almost all of her stuffed animals and clothes on the floor.
Hmm.
She is so lucky she is cute. :)

Reagan is a reading machine
Reagan totally cracked me up tonight while she was reading. We picked out "Frog and Toad" to read - she loves those stories - and we read every other page together. When she read, she was not just reading in a simple voice, she was putting emphasis on words and putting emotion into it. It just cracked me up. At the end of one sentence, she even smacked her head (like duh Toad that was dumb). So funny to watch her be able to do that while she reads. So proud of her.
Ready for bed
Tonight, Maddy was really tired. She was grumpy and super independent all night. When she gets like this, it means she has had a long day with no nap (typically) or she didn't eat a good lunch. All of these things are pretty typical of kids at her age.
Usually, with Reagan, when she gets like that, she wants to snuggle. Not Maddy. She wants to be left alone. She wants to have what she wants, when she wants it. So we try to not make those evenings busy.
After dinner, she got down from the table and went over to her doll house and just played. As soon as she thought Jim was going to take her upstairs to bed, she hauled butt running towards the stairs. She wasn't waiting. She was ready.
But remember, these nights are not snuggle nights either. She just wants bed. No books, no "sleep with me please". Just bed. Good night sweet heart. We love you.

Little artist
When I picked up Maddy today, her teacher stopped me and said "she loves to draw with paper and pen". She really loves to write and her detail with drawings is incredible. We aren't used to seeing that in young children. She does. Her drawings are super details - flowers have decorated petals and stems. Trees have stuff in them. People are actual people - full bodies, filled in details like eyes, nose and mouth and hands and feet. She even changes color (maybe not the right color) to differentiate between different parts (like shoes and pants). I am so amazed every day by what she does. So fun to watch her grow up.
