Happy Birthday Brennan!

Today, we went to Louisville to help our nephew celebrate his 8th birthday!
Happy Birthday Buddy!!

SHE ROLLED OVER

Oh my gosh. I can’t believe it. She rolled over! I was so excited I scared both dogs, my husband and the baby. She looked at me like “what did I do?”. It was just so darn cute. Of course, she didn’t do it again, but I didn’t care. Jim was right – she did it. Oh – and she rolled back to front (like I predicted). Yea Reagan.

Sleeping on her side?

I went in overnight to check on Reagan and she has started sleeping on her side. She even slept that way for her nap. I keep thinking she’ll roll over in her sleep and freak out. It is so obvious that she can do it… she just won’t yet. The other thing she did today was to turn over on the changing pad. I told Jim about it and he said “oh she’ll roll over today I bet”. I don’t believe him.

I'm not rolling over

And don’t try to make me do it. I was working with Reagan today to get her to roll over and she stopped me from doing it. She stuck out her foot and stopped me from moving her. She just looked up. I got the hint. UGH!

Bathtime

She loves taking a bath. She is finally used to sitting in that apparatus in the tub. Once she settles down, she starts splashing and kicking. We bought her letters for the tub and she loves them. We just dump them in the water and she goes crazy trying to get them. She enjoys eating the letter “I”. I’m not sure why. I stuck a bunch of letters on the walls of the tub and she was able to get them off by grabbing them. Yea Reagan.

Can she pull up yet?

I also started a new game with her today. We started off laying down and got her to pull up to sitting, then standing. Once I got her there, I would bounce her up and down and throw her a few times. She got into that game pretty quickly. By the end of the day, she was pulling up from lying down on her own pretty well.

Neat Things

Reagan did some neat stuff today – she started holding the bottle and passing things from hand to hand more easily. She also started standing on the couch by herself. I propped her upright and she just stood there. She did try to pull away from the couch back a few times – and was successful for brief moments – all to just fall back again. She thought that was just the best thing.
