Clothes shopping

Today, I took mom and Reagan to The Children's Place. It was the first time that I actually tried clothes on Reagan at the store - all of them. I'm really glad that I did because she's a tad bigger than I thought. I ended up buying shorts that were 4T for her legs and "sit upon". I just can't believe that she's grown that much. But I guess that's what happens when you have a tall kid with some thigh power! Wow! I guess she's got some "junk in the trunk". :0

Just hangin'

Today was a really nice, easy Saturday. The sun was out. It was really warm and we all got to put on our shorts! Woo hooo. My brother's kids were up for the day, so we planned on spending the day with them. After Jim took off with Jordan for swimming, Reagan and I went down to my parents to visit and play.

After a bit, we decided it was the best to go to our park. That was the best idea - the kids had a blast. We've got a pretty nice park - it's got a spongy flooring and tons of stuff to climb on. The boys play great with Reagan. She's starting to recognize them more since she's gotten older. She loves all of them. Daniel and Zach was really cute with her. Daniel played with her and followed her around the house. At the park, Zach acted like a big brother and made sure she was ok. It was awesome.

So talkative

Reagan is learning her colors. She can now say purple and blue pretty well. But she can recognize and point to green, blue, purple and pink. Sometimes she gets yellow. How cool is that? Oh and she is starting her letters too he heee. A and P are the easiest right now. We'll see. She's only done it a couple times so it could be a fluke.

Reagan's first tumbling adventure

We decided that we wanted to take Reagan over to Silverlake to try out their open tumbling class. I wasn't really sure what to expect when we got there, but it wasn't a big deal at all. It wasn't a class, it was a free-for-all. Parents and kids got to walk around and play on all the stuff.

Reagan LOVED the jumpy things. She spent a lot of time watching one little girl do some tumbling - she was mesmerized by her. She crawled, walked and played and generally had a good time.

I am not sure we'll do that every week, but we'll definetly do it every once in a while.

Slow start

Ugh! This morning I had such a slow start. I wanted to try to let Reagan sleep in since she's been sick, but I also had to make sure I got into work at a reasonable time. Time was not on my side - I left on time to get to work by 9:00 am, but then things started piling on. I forgot my badge (or so I thought), I had to drop off cleaning so I could park in the garage, I got stuck behind the school bus... what else could there be?

What is THAT?

What the heck is she doing? Tonight she was playing like she felt much better. Every time she'd hear the music on the tv, she'd start to dance. She usually just shakes her rear and sways when she "dances", but tonight she added a little flair to it. When she danced, she started this little side step move that made her rear swing back and forth. She'd do this little move, then stop and swing her rear around. Then she'd turn to you a gigggle and start all over again. Geeeeez. She's goofy!

Turning a corner?

Tonight Reagan was hilarious. She seemed to be much happier and she was definetly more energetic. We played quite a bit downstairs and then after dinner we played upstairs. She was so goofy at times that I was laughing harder than she was.

Jim and I sat upstairs and watched American Idol while she played in the bonus room. She got into everything possible. She was reading books, playing with her cards, throwing balls and bouncing like crazy on her horse. Wow! Not only that, she was just plain ole goofy!

Thank goodness for that. It's been hard watching her sick for the last month. :)
