Singing girl

Reagan loves to sing... a lot. She even loves to make up her own songs... a lot.

Traceability

Reagan is learning how to write. She came home a few days this week with some papers that showed her progress that were pretty impressive. This morning, I just had her trace a few words this morning and she actually did it! Yea Reagan.

Band-aid queen

Reagan has a serious issue with band-aids and not sleeping. Tonight, I finished putting Maddy in bed and joined Jim in Reagan's room for her last story and prayers. When we were done, we tucked her "in" (on the floor). We left. We thought she was settled down.

Unfortunately, Maddy woke up screaming not too long after that. So I went back into her room to settle her down. I got stuck holding her which means I fell asleep too (darn) ;). The next thing I remember is Reagan waking me up. She's outside her room singing and dancing loud enough to wake me up in Maddy's room with the door shut. Hmmmm.

I quickly put Maddy down and left her room. Reagan was, of course, still singing... until she saw me. She looked up in the middle of her song and got the "oh no I'm caught" look on her face. She bolted back into her room. (Andrea would so appreciate that). I got into her room and realized she was totally covered in band-aids. Really!? What the heck? She had gotten up and climbed onto the counter in the bathroom to get to the band-aids in the top of the medicine chest. WOW!

I, of course, yelled at her and said "get back to bed". Then I proceeded to go downstairs to the basement and yell at Jim. He just loved that. Frustration is amazing. Oh yea - it was 11:20 pm!

Hold me?

Tonight, Maddy actually let Mimi and Papa hold her. Wow!

Smily butt

I put Maddy down on her mat today and she kept trying to roll over. She'd crane her neck around to look at herself in the mirror over and over again. Every once in a while she'd push her heels into the ground trying to "roll". She didn't roll. But every time she'd see herself in the mirror, she'd giggle. Love that!

Rolling over soon

I put Maddy down on her play mat today and she started kicking and looking around. (She loves her mat). She kicked so much that she almost turned over. She kept craning her neck and kicking her heal into the ground. Soooo close!!!

Exersaucer time

Maddy loves her Exersaucer. She is finally getting strong enough to sit better in it. I think between time at school and time at home, she's getting so much better at it. Today, she actually started reaching out and grabbing some of the toys around the structure. I loved it. Reagan helped her out some by starting the music. She giggled and watched her. I was just impressed she was reaching out already. Way to go Maddy!
