Dancing and Singing
Tonight, the Cahills came over for an afternoon of fun and food. When they came, Sean had in his hand their extra kid mp3 player. They brought it for Reagan. It was loaded with kid songs too. She hasn't put that thing down. I wonder if it will wear off.
Sweet potatoes
Yum. She was a little birdy getting sweet potatoes for the first time tonight. Jim was so excited. We bought food at Sams and brought it home for her to eat. :) We mixed it with a little rice cereal and she did real well.

little miss independent
Reagan has had this idea lately that she is the boss. She has been testing not only my patience but also my "line ". She seems to think they will waiver. Little does she know ... ha!
Tonight she tried spitting tonight during dinner. She ended up on her room for a time out. That didn't do much good. She played once she settled down.
When she came back down, she did well for a little bit. She and Jordan played some. Of course we ended back with a spitting thing so we decided it was just time for bed.
I think she was tired tonight. I don't know where she's getting the new habit, but I hope it goes away soon.

Maddy's stubborn
She won't a take a nap. She was supposed to take a nap an hour ago. It's not working. So I put her on the floor in the hopes that she would just go to sleep. It's not working. Guess we will have to go for a car ride.

Violin lessons
She had her second violin lesson tonight. She did great. I thought she did great considering how large the classroom is. I originally had her signed up for a 3-4 student class. It is now 8 kids. So I have a level of frustration because I'm paying a lot for less attention for Reagan (which she needs). Even though she tends to play (the only kid of the group) instead of sitting, she absorbs it all. We got home tonight and she wanted to show off for everyone. She had figured out rest position for both the violin and the bow. I know she's ready but I have to get really creative to work with her. But she is a sponge. A total sponge. She took a bow and played for everyone. I'm so proud.
Writing already?
Since Reagan moved up to the preschool room, they have introduced handwriting. It's fun to watch her learn and to hear how they teach her. So far, she's mastered the A, H, C, O and a few others. She's even starting to read sight words. She'll look at something and pick out words. She picks them out of book and off of signs. Interesting. Last night, she picked "sorry" out of a book. Interesting.
