18 months and up

I got a real shocker. I put Maddy in her outfit (or tried to) and it didn't fit. Oops. So I had to go up a size. Since I had the afternoon off, I decided to go shopping. I found out the 9 and 12 month sized clothing is not that much different. The big jump seems to be between 12 and 18 month. So that's what I got. Hmmm. I can't believe my little girl is getting so big. It just shocks me because she is so much slimmer than Reagan was at this age. I guess I shouldn't be too shocked. She is in the87% of height.

All over the bed

Dude - she had an issue with the backend last night. When I got upstairs this morning, I could smell it as I opened her door. It was all over her sheets and all over her. It was just a mess. We ended up cutting the sleeper off of her because I couldn't stand it. She went into the bath before she could nurse... poor thing. Oh well, at least she smelled good.

She bit me again

Okay. I really don't like it when she bites me. It hurts! Tonight, she was fighting sleep, so I thought nursing might help. She nurse fine until she got done. Then she looked up and took a little nibble. I said "NOOOO!!" very sternly. She did not like that. She actually furrowed her brows at me. Wow. I'd never seen that.

They won't go to sleep

Tonight, we went over to the phone store and got me a new phone. The process was extremely painful and crazy - especially with three kids. The worst part was that it took over two hours. By 8pm, the kids had enough.

We got home about 8:30 and sat down for dinner. They did. I tried to put Maddy in bed. During dinner, Reagan spilled apple juice down her pjs. Oops. That lit her UP! She screamed like she was being beaten. It was odd because there really wasn't any yelling. Hmmm. After a while, Maddy couldn't stay calm - I had to just put her down to figure out what the heck was going on.

That took a bit to cool down. Once it did, and I got Reagan ready for bed, I checked on Maddy. She was UP! Up and standing up in bed laughing. Sigh... Now what.

Jim eventually came upstairs to help. Maddy wouldn't sleep, so I brought her in Reagan's room to read. That didn't really work. Jim kept reading to Reagan. I took Maddy to the bonus room to play.

We traded after a while. I went in to try to get Reagan to calm down and there was no hope. She was bouncing. Of course, she was hyper and bouncing on her bed. I said "stop" as I always do. She ignored me as she always did. This time it didn't end up so well. She bounced and spun. This time she spun right into the side of her bedrail. She popped her face and mouth on the rail so hard that her mouth started bleeding.

That made her hysterical - of course. She bit her lip. Thank goodness that is all she did. We had to go rinse her mouth. After that, she cried about how much her mouth her. Motrin and Benadryl to the rescue. One dose of each with me by her side and she was out. Thank goodness.

Jim, in the meantime, had gone to take care of Maddy. She fought and fought sleep. But she finally went down for him. Ahhhh. Now I'm eating dinner at 10:30 at night. Nice huh. :)

Alarm?

Tonight was the second time that Maddy's sleep alarm went off. She gets her body so close to the rail that the sensor can't pick up her movement. The first time it scared me a bit. This time I wasn't as concerned. Although, I don't like her sleeping without it.

Up all night

Maddy has a little cold. She woke up a few times screaming in the middle of the night. Each time I'd check on her, she's still be asleep. The fourth time I went upstairs, she was awake. I had to pick her up. She snuggled on me the rest of the night. Poor thing. She did not feel well at all.

Food oddities

Tonight, Reagan put together two items from the dinner table that just did not make sense - blueberries and mashed potatoes.

Why she thought that tasted good, I'll never know. I wouldn't try it.
