Every Wednesday, Maddy and I get to hang out. Just me and her. It's our last year probably to do this. It's a plan. We walk through the door, she drops her coat and says "mommy it's Dora time" and heads right to the couch. She waits for me to get changed and get a snack for her. Then we sit together on the couch and watch a tv show. Tonight, was no different. She was eager for my presence on the couch next to her. She's not as patient as she used to be. She doesn't like to wait on me.

Slapping the paper
Reagan loves to create games for her and Maddy to play. The latest one is done when they are running around the house. She hung a piece of paper on our bar counter in the kitchen and every time they run past it, they slap it. I'm not sure why. But they both do it without thinking about it now. It's kinda funny.

Snow day
Another snow day. Really? The girls might be a tad stir crazy by now. It's just not even fair. They love staying home, but they don't love staying inside. They fight and hug every other second. It's totally drama filled and crazy. But I still love watching them. They will be close for a long time. They are thick as thieves and as much as they fight, I know they will love each other forever.

Icy day = No church
Between my lack of energy and the crazy ice storm, we decided to skip church today. I hate doing that, but I just didn't have the energy today to keep moving. So we stayed home. We colored most of the morning. Once the girls got bored with the coloring, it was time to head to the basement. They might have destroyed the entire basement.
Maddy immediately got dressed up in her princess costume. Reagan started in on the crafts. She made multiple heart cut outs and Maddy danced and played with her barbies.
They played in the fort and climbed up on the bar (whoops) and played the piano all morning. I've figured out that both girls are getting really good at putting puzzles together. We've put puzzles together so much lately that their skills have gotten so much better.

Jump time
We went to Silverlake today to play. I needed to get them signed up for the summer and the Kid Quest places was the perfect thing for them to do when I was busy. They played hard. By the time I got back to them, Maddy was yawning.
Maddy sang the whole way home - her technique to stay awake - "I love you all the time, I love you every time". It's her song that she made up and she just sings it over and over again. She is always singing every chance she gets.

The braid
We went and got hair cuts today. Reagan doesn't typically want Marty to do anything with her hair - she always wants it down. Not today. She wanted it braided three times and then all together. I was shocked. She sat still and was thrilled when it was all done. She even stared at herself in the mirror.
She was so excited when she got home that she put on her long spring dress, found all of her jewelry and added a bow or two to her hair. She was so beautiful when she was done I didn't know what to say. Just amazing.
When she gets dressed up, she transforms. She acts all shy and super sweet and dances. Yes, dances. She loves her ballet and it comes out when she gets all dolls up. I'm not sure how many pictures I took, but there were many.

Like me
Some days my little girls is so sweet. Tonight on the way hone from school, she was putting on her lipstick and had just gooped it on. Tons of red. She looked up at me and said "look mommy, I wanna look like you". So sweet. She let me know that her lips were red like mine and she loved looking like me. Mush Really!?
